Yellowrose, I don't do anything about it, as it's more of a warning than a serious attack. Ranger will also growl at her if he has a toy, and doesn't want her to have it. Other than that, they are the best of friends.
Interestingly enough I've never seen her do this when they are indoors, only outdoors, and only with a tug type toy. If it happened all the time, I would definitely discipline her for it.

I Meant to reply to this, and accidently started a new thread.... alpha bee-yatch... sorry, I'm new at this as of today!

Happens quite frequently, Jacob! Why don't you copy and paste your reply to this thread?
Welcome to the board!

YellowRose,
Give the pup's time and room, trade article's with each other's scent in sleeping area's. Let them get adjusted.
Don't put them in bad situation's, feed in separate area's and don't make one overly jealous of the other with your attention.
Let them play with large toy's so they can tug, instead of smaller one's where they might just try to take it out of the other's mouth, outside not inside so there is room for retreat if needed.
11 day's mean's nothing, they are basicly the same age and will battle for position, one will end up on top sooner or later.
I have a similar problem with two bitch's now grown. Its gets intense at time's and I have to keep them separate just so the submissive female can have some air.
Your pup may also have been a little stressed from the move. You'll just have to see how this play's out.
Brent.

sunsilver,
My bitch maddy dominate's the pack, even an 80 pound male. My other bitch midnite can't even scratch without permission. No one has been hurt but it get's real intense if she is challenged.

When Kali & Beckett play together, Beckett follows her around, trying to mount her & hump her, even tho' she's not in heat, & she spends her time turning her face to him & saying, "if you do that again, I'll rip your face off", over, & over, & over....that's how they play. But the other day, Beckett finally took the hint, & gave up, & lay down at my feet, panting. While he lay there, paying attention to me, Kali tip-toed up behind him, sniffed his butt, (to make sure she had the right dog), straddled him with her front legs, and SHE began to hump HIM!!! She had a "How do you like it!" look on her face.....OMG-I almost peed in my pants, I laughed so hard---poor Beckett, he was so busy watching my lunch, I don't think he even noticed....typical male...oblivious!! jackie harris

I thinks it's the norm Sunsilver! My bitch used to wake my old dog up and demand sex, when she was in season... he'd been castrated but... he did as he was told... got up and on, 2 or 3 thrusts (no sign of a willie) got off and tucked his shirt in! She'd get so pissy with him (he clearly thought he'd done a grand job) and tell him off by yapping and snapping at him!
"We" girls always rule the roost, we just let the guys think that they do!

Simple fact: Males are smarter. We figure, why go through the hassle? Piss on it! (literally) And move on.

Missbeeb, not all castrated males are that hopeless when it comes to sex! I had Ranger neutered at the age of 5 due to a very bad case of prostatitis. When Star had her second heat this past summer...well, pictures speak louder than words!
This is one time the ol' boy definitely got the upper hand, and as you can tell, although she may have asked for it, she did NOT like being tied!
They tied several times, and each tie lasted a good 15 minutes. Star would freak out after a bit, so I had to keep her in her crate unless both dogs were right where I could stop them, or supervise them if things got too hot 'n heavy!
I sent this pic to my vet, with a note attached: "Are you SURE you neutered him?" LOL!
At least I know I won't have any problems with her if I decide to breed her!

You guys are cracking me up. I'm about to pee my pants laughing and I'm at work so I can't have that. LOL I have an older Female GSD (9 years old), a 6 year old male Beagle and 6 year old female Beagle. 2 younger female Beagles now almost 3 years old. I have a 16 month old female GSD, then we added a 2 year old English Bulldog (show dog) about 6 months ago and I brought home a 12 week old female GSD. The English Bulldog is intact as well as the two younger female GSD's, everyone else thank GOD is fix'd. You have no idea what the pecking order in my house looks like!!!!!! The Bulldog sounds like Darfader when he breathes & scared all the beagles at first. My 16 month old GSD loves the Bulldog and is now in season!!!!! Yeiks, that would be horrible. She has to stay completely away from him and is in the dog room and crated other than potty breaks to make sure no dogs jump the fence and breed her through the kennel!!!!!! The Bulldog isn't allowed to play with the pup yet, he would try to mount her as he does everything else. He would kill her for sure since he is 68 pounds!!!!!! They can only see each other throught their crates when one or the other is out. My poor male Beagle has had enough of the Bulldog and finally jumped on him the other night for sniffing his butt. I told my boyfriend his Bulldog has some issues and my Beagle at 6 just isn't going to take it! Yes you counted right, there are 8 dogs living in my home. 3 GSD's, 4 Beagles and 1 Bulldog!!!!! LOL I have 6 cats who live outside, 1 bird and 3 fish tanks. :o) I like animals what can I say. They are a delight, like children running all about and leaving their toys everywhere. We have some jealousy issues that sometimes interfers with their training. Not bad considering the amount of dogs in the house. My male Beagle is very jealous that my boyfriend brought the male Bulldog home. My boyfriend thinks it's just because the Beagle is fix'd but I told him it's because he use to be his favorite and now he has to share him with the Bulldog. :o( My 16 month old goes crazy barking when I get one of the other dogs from the van at training to work them instead of her. :o( I love the fact she wants to work but sounds like she is half crazy. You pull her out and she is happy and wants to work and please you. I just hope the day never comes that she goes after one of the other dogs. Rewarding her (feeding her treats & telling her good girl) in the crate for behaving (not barking or grabbing the water bucket) has worked some, the only other option is to only take her. :o(
