Rbud, I just have to ask. What would be the purpose of this breeding? And why would you like to line breed on those certain females?Just curious. Are the females from the paternal side or the maternal side? There is a difference.....Big one.

I have studied the Kirschental lines and done some reading from Karl Fuller. He almost always kept females back for his breeding program. If he kept a dog it had to be with out falts.  It was in reciect times they began keeping males for their breeding program.

If you have not read through their web site I recemmond doing that.

rbud.rm,

It's sad in a way that the German Shepherd Dog doesn't have much oppertunity these day's to do what it was originally created to do.  Time's have changed and so has the breed.  I do believe the genetic's are still there tho, and people do still train and use them for herding, just not from neccesity.

The Fuller's have a good reputation and I would recommend them to anyone.    There are other's with herding line's but Maybe not as handsome.

Brent.

The females were always held back.Brent, I have a very good friend.Beacon of Light to me in CA.She remembers when the dog made his/her choice for work. She was involved when the SHOW/Work split within this country. She continues in herding the best way she can.She is very down on these herding events...for title as what she see's is the no off thing with sheep..and just a title. Then people will breed based upon that title. What she does with her dogs is for them naturally to choose their herding skills.I am not promoting her as she is very silent.Brent, The genetics are still there if one can only see.Rbud, My drive is to teach what I have been taught.Karl Fuller had to go to show to make ends meet.No one held the golden shovel as he did...Do you know about that?Do you live in the city or country? If you live in the country or have access to a wide open spot.Take your girl out and see what she has.If she cant run free to find her herding skills..fowl etc etc..Just put fer on a twenty foot lead and ask nothng of her and just watch her.If she has a deep soul you will never have to say a word..command taught. As for your boy Brent do the same.Speak little words  to him.Do you both know how to whistle? What I am attempting to do is strengthen the herding lines I have now, and help build my own herding stock.  By linebreeding on dogs like Matzo, Tynara and a few others will make this possible. Their lines go back to some of the best of the Kirschental lines. Josker, Xiewa and better known probally is VA Xitta Sch3, HGH

My female has very good instincts for herding. I have worked her with goats and she reacted well on the long line.  My Anna has both Tynara and Matzo in her pedigree, both from her damms side.

Hi Robert,

I don't know if you remember my male or not. He is a Matzo vom Kirschental grandson. Here is the link to his pedigree. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/381452.html Even though he is almost 9 years old he is still producing very well.

Wow what a small world.Hi Cheryl!!I had spoke to you a couple of years back about Boss vom Friebele Froi.Do let the owner of Paldie vom Kirschental know that Boss is doing just fine. Also ask her if she can send me the pictures of Paldie and Boss again.Boss is a wonderful dog.It took so much time to undo the damage that was done to him before I purchased him.I would like to know what happened to Boss's littermates in Paldies 3rd and final litter.Let me know if you would.Best wishes, Candace(AL)

Sherry is an awesome dog in every respect: beautiful, great to be around, excellent in the work, excellent herding dog, VERY low hip ZB rating, and producing impressive puppies.

Still waiting from a response from Cheryl.Rbud do take a look at Boss's pedigree. Not to say even if you wanted to breed your girl with Boss..I would allow it.How many goats do you have?Is your girl on long line able to respond differently to each.?Boss was put through a keyhole and mishandled when he was a pup to two yrs old.Too much on this pup in the wrong direction based upon his sire...not his dam. Then I purchased him...long ago.It is important to not just look a pedigree..Look at the individual and what they pocess in herding.Tell me more about your girl.
