OOh and Two Moons it's not too late to go!! There were some guys there yesterday in their 70s!!
Also we free fell for 60 seconds or so, at 120 MPH and covered 2 miles!! Once the chut opened it seemed like it took forever to get to the ground, but I think it was really only about another minute or so. Our forward speed at that time was 25 mph, and our down speed was 15!

My Mother use to sky dive, her 1st solo jump, she left me home to babysit my little sister. I broke my foot chasing her down the hall way. My Mother came thru power lines without a scratch. My youngest daughter is just like my Mother in trying out all life has to offer. She also jumped without telling anyone,

My friend Brigid who was the one who asked me to go with her, cries on the ferris wheel, and this was HER idea!! She did not have as much fun up there as I did, but she wasn't letting her being scared stop her from going. She was happy to go!
Sitting around waiting for our turn to jump (3 HOURS!) made me feel much better about jumping, you would see the same formation teams jump 5 or 6 times ($15.00 per jump once you are all dialed in with your own gear) and there were sooooo many people there all having a lot of fun when they came down.
Of course we all hear the saying, more people die in a car each day blah blah blah right?? It was super fun!!!

KariM,
Back in the day while in Florida my room mate's had been jumping and took me along to see for myself.
Sixty buck's got you four hour's in a class, one chute rental, and a one way plane ticket. You jumped on a static line the first fifteen jump's or so before you did free fall and had to have so many hour's of training in class. Those were old round canopy's with little or no control. If you were smart you took the extra class's and learned how to pack your own chute.
I didn't have the sixty buck's and blamed that for my watching instead of going along. Honestly I was more worried just about flying in this old looking plane than jumping out of it, at least that's what I still tell myself..:)
It's a rush aint it? Are you gonna do it again sometime? My buddies were addicted to it.
Again, great shot's, hope you have many more adventure's
Brent.

This was great fun for sure! My girlfriend that I went with, wants to go again now since she was so scared the first time she didn't quite settle down the entire time!
At this place it's $100 for the jump ($75 for the video and still - that's where they get ya), there really isn't any training per se, not much to do but not freak out I guess, what you see in the video of us squating down is about all of the training you get! My guy made me feel safe and he was very collected!
I think I will go again at least once, although my mom really asked me not to, but Brigid wants to go again, and one of the guys's wives who is in my class really wants to go, and he already cheated death once (nose dived his crop duster INTO the ground and was in a coma for 30 days) so he will not be going with her. We'll see!!
Hope everyone has a great week!!!
