Thanks for the input guys.  Havoc is doing well adjusting and is a very confident dog.  But is almost like he had ADD when i comes to rag work.  He'll chase it, bite, hold on for a bit, but then goes off and wants to check out the plants in the house, or my shoes.  Other times, he'd much rather bite my hands or my jeans.  Yes, those puppy teeth hurt.  His food drive is out of this world, but he tries to jump up and get the treat before he completes what i ask of him.  Yes, he can be pushy even at this early age.  Any suggestions on how i can improve his concentration or drive for the rag?

DON'T worry about his drives, it is all there in those lines. Work with what he is giving you at this point in time. If he is giving you food drive, take the opportunity to build some obedience and track him. When he is past teething, his grip and prey will strengthen naturally. Whilst he is biting your feet/hands slowly use a rag to wrap round your arms and redirect him. If he persists in biting you DON'T continue, just put him away. It will NOT kill his drive, it is better you teach him not to bite you now rather than as a 90lbs 1 year old.

Honestly he sounds fine. Every pup has a different timetable, don't force yours on him. They all end up the same at 2 yrs old although they may take a different route to get there. Chill, enjoy him.

Yeah my dog didn't seem to have allot of drive as a pup either, we called him lazy. He still doesn't exude drive all over but he will work, no doubt about that. Huge calm grips and no fear of anything. Just a really calm dog that helps me get him in harness, not barking all over the field or jumping, spinning crap. He doesn't waste his energy, doesn't even bark much at home, too confident to care about much but show him the work and it's go time. He may seem to fall short when compared to the energy and drives allot of dogs show outright but my dog is better when you consider he has no fear  issues whatsoever so we don't have to back off or introduce anything slowly like new places or scenarios, he takes it all in stride and remembers it all the next session even if it's 2 months later, we are right back where we left off. It's really nice, no breaking out of crates, destroying kennels or the house. Worst habbit he has is chewing the opening of his dog house here and there, maybe he drags it around the kennel some but he's just telling me I need to excersize him more and that behaviour stops. At 23 months, he's still a huge puppy.
