So what do you want to know? This is a pedigree of dogs with some German bloodlines generations back mixed with American and Canadian bloodlines (Maiko, by the way was a beautiful dog and just died this past week).
Bloodlines are only a small part of the picture. The bottom line is what do you want in a dog, what will you do with the dog, and does it have the working ability and temperament to live up to what you want it to do. If that is be a pet, then fine. If you want something else, then pedigree especially then gives you basically nothing.

I have this beautiful female,, THAT HAS AN EXCELLANT TEMPERMENT!!! I am trying to post the pic of her because I think that she has excellant confirmation also.... I breed German Shepherds, I breed dogs to be, "THE AVERAGE FAMILY DOG"!NO,,MY DOGS are not titled "working dogs", In my opinion, there is more to a working dog than how good is his grip!
How about "how does he love his family, how does he protect his family?"How does he interact with his kids??
What I am looking for is this...."WHAT IS KNOWN about traits of the line,,,what is known about health or hip problems,,,the temperment"..NOT EVERYONE WANTS A WORKING DOG,,and it is,,in my opinion " Very unfair for the breeders of WORKING DOGS, to think that families should settle for the "WORKING DOG REJECTS" for a pet.!!!
My dogs ALL have top Seiger names in their pedigrees. Obviously, they are made up of the TOP GERMAN LINES!!!
I have bred my dogs for over 17 years and have never had a complaint. I bought a Bullinger male to add to my lines.
My GOAL is to provide top notch,"family dogs", nothing more,,,nothing less. The dogs in my line are all from top Seiger performers, so it is my belief, it's in there... !!!
I sell my pups with a life long GUARANTEE for Health, Hips, and Temperment... I BREED FAMILY DOGS AND AM HAPPY DOING SO...
SO,, my question is basicly this...KNOW ANYTHING BAD IN MY LINES????????

Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a photo here.
The simple answer is that there are positives and negatives in all bloodlines, including those in this pedigree. The pedigree is not the map people think it is. Rather, your personal observations are most important, assuming that you are an astute observer and not kennel blind as many are.
I am involved in SchH. But I too do not think it is the end all, be all for GSDs. None the less, yes, I do think there are some minimal hoops that all GSDs who are being bred should have to jump through. In my opinion, far too many dogs are being bred who should not be bred and that includes dogs from all bloodlines, and even dogs with multiple Siegers in them. What matters is each individual dog.
By the way, the word is CONFORMATION when referring to structure. Confirmation has an entirely different meaning.
Good luck.

At most a Dog of any breed is what you the owner makes it
A Pedigree is but a piece of paper with more permutations than winning the football pools
It shows you the lines of its genes but what the dog really becomes in temperment and loving towards its owner and the family is up to the person caring for it
If you treat the Dog correctly then he will become loyal and intergrate with the members of a Family
Ill treat the Dog and he will become the opposite of above
Also Dogs that Work in Protection and in Schutzund are just the same as the above if treated the right way
Our two G,S are working in Schutzund, But off the working field and in there home envirioment, they are as Loving and Loyal as a Dog who just sits around the house all day, i truly believe they would give up all to look after us
The Sport of Schutzund is a treat for the Dogs, they look forewards to going and they are happy doing it,
Plus the Dog Sport is a good release for me in my other Sport of Long Distance Pigeon racing against all Europe, it is a long season and a tough one on the body and mind, and Schutzund and the Pups are a good way of relaxing for a few Hours to break it up
You cannot get a much better way of life than that

I love it when a poster asks for opinions then rants about what they hear... If your a breeder of German shepherds should,nt you know the lines???. And of course this goes back to $$$$$$ Some one gave me this dog(first hint is there a problem) second your already thinking about breeding a dog you obviousley know nothing about, third Get her spayed and find her a good home and save us the "I,m only in it for the satisfaction of making wonderful pets for people" yadyad and do your home work.

Hey Bob,
Where do you see me ranting about anything? And Where did I say I'm only in for the satisfaction of making wonderful pets for people?????
I'm in because I want to be in it, to me, I enjoy my dogs, and it IS satisfying to have families send you pics and stories of what wonderful dogs they have. And as far as the pedigree, I DO know quite abit of the dogs in the pedigree, I spend hours reading up on pedigrees and going through the OFA Database. I DON"T know all the dogs in the pediogree, but I know quite a few. I ALSO DON"T know every detail of any dog, IF YOU FIND A PROBLEM WITH MY ASKING QUESTIONS, than that is more your problem than mine.
I come here and read posts quite often, it's amazing how insulting so many people are here, NOT EVERYONE!! The dog was given to me by a friend of mine, I didn't find her through a FREE AD!!!!
Many of the EXPERT breeders can't appreciate the gratitude people have being able to buy a well bred dog that doesnt cost them a fortune. I know one woman in my area who got 2 Shepherds from 2 different breeders in my area, both turnedout dysplastic.....
AND Beleive me, I am not getting rich breeding German Shepherds.

Whew, I am a little ticked again,,BUT, I will proceed.
Here is her beautiful girls picture, AND IN CASE SOME ARE NOT AWARE<<<MANY A GREAT BREEDER, GIVES A BITCH OR A MALE TO SOMEONE THEY DEEM WORTHY TO RAISE AND SHOW OR TRAIN THEIR LINES TO PROMOTE THEM IN ANOTHER AREA THAT THEY CANNOT COVER IN THEIR BUSY LIFE. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Now to the Pic:
Also, keep in mind, sometimes when a poster asks for opinions, or facts, from us, they are just using this site for education, or to start a conversation about the pedigree or the dog in the asking to enhance our site, since we have some pretty uncouthe threads. So dont be so ready to jump down peoples throats about what they say. Maybe you judged them wrong. We need more conversation ,about any dog, pedigree, problem or any info wanted . JUst because a person asks about a pedigree , it does not mean the person is not already educated about the subject. They may be throwing it out for you to weigh in on.

I think that she has excellant confirmation also.... I breed German Shepherds, I breed dogs to be, "THE AVERAGE FAMILY DOG"!
So does every other back-yard breeder that doesn’t want to be bothered with health screenings and temperament tests. Which dogs have you bred? What litters have you produced? Were the adults that you bred OFA’d? (Given it’s AKC)
NO,,MY DOGS are not titled "working dogs", In my opinion, there is more to a working dog than how good is his grip!
How about "how does he love his family, how does he protect his family?"How does he interact with his kids??
Do you think dogs with “grip” don’t love their families? You are misinformed about working dogs. There is a lot more than just “grip”. Do you think that everything bred will stand up to an attack by an intruder? That a dog raised in a family setting won’t run the first time it’s hit by an intruder with a bat? Not all do. Most do. How many of the dogs you’ve bred will run?

by JustLurkin on 20 August 2008 - 14:08
(continued)
What I am looking for is this...."WHAT IS KNOWN about traits of the line,,,what is known about health or hip problems,,,the temperment"..
Why? As a marketing tool? Given that you know nothing of her lines how would you know what lines to breed to to make a litter of perfect couch potatoes?
"..NOT EVERYONE WANTS A WORKING DOG,,and it is,,in my opinion " Very unfair for the breeders of WORKING DOGS, to think that families should settle for the "WORKING DOG REJECTS" for a pet.!!!
Working dog rejects? You are very misinformed. There are different levels and fields of working dogs. Are you claiming that a working dog could never be a family pet? A service animal for a blind or handicapped person? Are you thinking that it wouldn’t be the ultimate requirement of a “working dog” because being in a family setting doesn’t involve “grip”? I can assure you it involves solid nerves, temperament, drives, health for longevity and a lot more than “grip”. Here’s an educational tidbit for you since you’re fixated on “grip”. Knowledgeable breeders know this – not all pups in the litter will be podium quality working dogs. There are always pups in a litter who are better suited to other work and ***gasp*** most including the true working dogs are the ultimate in a family pet. Solid nerves, temperament and ***gasp*** live in the house and play hard and relax quietly and are healthy.
