Poseidon, he's almost 4yrs. I consider him a rescue because he was living on a cable and wasn't in the best condition when I got him. I've had him about 8 months now. I'm single and he does a good job keeping me company.

He is a very good looking boy. The solid sturdy type like the old style AKC shepherds before they were ruined.
You are both so fortunate to have found each other.... a very happy storry.

You know, when I see what the show people have done to the AKC Shepherd, it makes me almost glad there ARE BYB who are preserving some of the old fashioned GSD's and their genes...
The AKC may need them some day soon to fix what they've done to the breed!
I like your boy. He has good, dark, pigment, and I think his head is nice in spite of the ears being a bit big. He has a good front for an Am bred: shoulder is not as upright as you see on many show dogs. He could have a longer upper arm, but many American breds look much worse than he does. I'm really amazed at how little angulation he has in the hind: very unusual for an American dog, most of which are extremely overangulated.
So, he'll never make it as a show dog...you can stil get a ILP number on him, and compete in performance events such as tracking and obedience!
Enjoy!

TT,
Your pal is just 4 years old and like you said has already attained his CGC. Sounds like he's got pretty stable temperament. Lucky you found each other. I bet you both will make a fine companion. Enjoy quality time together.
