I looked at your website you have some very nice dogs!

Perhaps someone could enlighten me as to why we should be congratulating Ghostly and holding a whoop dee do party?

Let's look at the facts.  Ghostly "What a powerful addition to our kennels Breeding Program."  According to their pedigrees on this site BOTH THESE ANIMALS ARE EIGHT YEARS OLD! No only that but this is at least the third owner they have had in the U.S. and since both show a SVV1 and a FCI hip cert of B I have to assume that they had at least one European owner. that means at a MINIMUM in eight years they have been thru FOUR owners .  Note owner not home. I somewhat doubt they ever have had a home. Only people looking to make a buck off of them. Now they are going to an owner that has at least EIGHTEEN other dogs. The only dogs in his kennels that have titles are the ones bought with them. Everyone else is "in training" even if it's been 3,4,5 years that they been "in training' but meanwhile what the he## breed them anyways.( Oh and Ghostly a CGC is NOT a title - it is at best a certification that a dog possess a minimal - very minimal level of socialization and house manners. Reference for readers Ghostly's other thread about pricing pups)

I for one feel sad for these two particular dogs. I can only hope that at some point in the life that is left to them that they are given the gift of an owner who loves them for them and not for the money they can produce.

I don't know who the hell you are to judge what I do. IF you do indeed know these dogs than you would know that the Rambo's havehad these guy's for almost all their lives and they have been taken care of probably better than some take care of themselves. It sounds like a little jealousy in your part. As for what I do and have at my kennel is my business unless you would like to pay my bill for me

Sometimes I get so tired of the petty attacks people make on each other.  Their is absolutely NO reason to make those statements and be insulting NONE!  Like already said you are being jealous and childlike.

Let me tell you a dirty little secret. All clear headed normal dogs don't care who their owner is as long as they get well taken care of and plenty of attention.  I can take your (anybody) favorite all time GSD that you have owned for 8 years and within a week he would be MY BOY!  IN a few he might not even know you and someone could do the same to my 9 year old as long as they took the time and effort to win over.

GROW UP and be nice!

PS: Shoot yea I see dogs on here that I wish I had but I don't get jealous and on the other side it make me feel good to see people dedicated to the breed that carry on quality breedings.

Desert Rangers   very well said it just angers me to think someone would think I am getting these guy's only for the money that they can make me. Rena is going to retire here when she comes. Who would breed a 8 yr old female, not me unless she is and does show to be in excellent shape, As for Narys he is my boys sire and always been impressed with Narys since the day I had met him at the Rambo's kennel. I believe these 2 will teach me plenty in which can be used in our dogs for years to come

Narys and Rena have been very well-loved and taken care of by all of their humans and have enriched the lives of all of those with whom thay have come in contact.  This will continue to be the case when they are with Chuck.  The young gentleman in Canada who got them from us was a wonderful owner for these two wonderful dogs and I couldn't wish for a better place for them to spend out their remaining years than with Chuck and his wife, Kathy.

Narys and Rena will always have a special place in our hearts.

I find it very interesting that  a mere recitation of the facts results in such a vitriolic barrage.  Remember the old saying - don't kill the messenger. I am also intrigued how you can view such a recitation of the facts as a. jealously and b. insulting (DR's ) post. If you feel they are insulting perhaps you need to ask yourself why? Does the truth hurt for some reason?

Just so we are clear - there is absolutely nothing about these dogs or your purchase that would cause me to be jealous. They are not my cup of tea. Also just so we are clear, let us review. This is what I posted.

a. "According to their pedigrees on this site BOTH THESE ANIMALS ARE EIGHT YEARS OLD! "  DOB shows as 2000 on both dogs.  TRUE or FALSE?

b."Not only that but this is at least the third owner they have had in the U.S. and since both show a SVV1 and a FCI hip cert of B I have to assume that they had at least one European owner. that means at a MINIMUM in eight years they have been thru FOUR owners . "  Let's count.  1. European breeder ( unknown if additional European owners) 2. Rambo's 3. Canadian owner Strongbond 4. Ghostly  so by my arithmetic that makes FOUR owners in slightly under 8 years . TRUE or FALSE?

c. Now they are going to an owner that has at least EIGHTEEN other dogs. Go to ghostly's website and count the dogs.  So 18 dogs ( about to be 20)  TRUE or FALSE?  Ghostly I suggest you might want to read what Max has to say about the maximum number of GSD any one owner should have.

d. "The only dogs in his kennels that have titles are the ones bought with them. Everyone else is "in training" even if it's been 3,4,5 years that they been "in training' but meanwhile what the he## breed them anyways."  Once again I refer you to Ghostly's website. Untitled dogs that have been bred or are being offered for stud Ghost Hausmeyer going on 5 years; Odon and Max both 4+ years; Untitled Bitches bred - Zerbel ( 8yrs), Cira ( almost 5). Pandora ( 4 yrs),   Untitled bitches shown as possible breeders unclear if have been bred - Blaze (4+yrs), Soloaire(3+yrs), Aris (3yrs), Becca ( almost 3 yrs)> Please note I did not include any of the younger dogs.  So once again TRUE or FALSE?

So DR please tell why there is no reason to make these statements? Shouldn't buyers looking for a "working dog" from great "working" pedigrees know that these dogs are not worked or titled?  Why should someone be afraid of the truth unless it makes them look bad? Also why is this petty and insulting?

Now to answer ghostly's question which was "Who would breed a 8 yr old female"  Well let's see she was just bred this May which you must know. See http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/193098.html#193585  Plus these are your statements -"What a powerful addition to our kennels Breeding Program."  "unless she is and does show to be in excellent shape" . That's pretty clear to me what the intention is.

VKFGSD

First thing is that you don't know anything for a fact. I have a friend who runs a rescue and has anywhere from 15-30 dogs at a time and takes gret care of them Many with issues so they cannot be placed in pet homes, several include ex-police k9 that no one else wanted.  THese dogs are better treated than I am.

Bottom line many breeders have alot of dogs as part of their breeding programs and are you suggesting they are all bad people and mis-treat their Dogs?

You are not the messenger you are a instigator!  You do not all many facts and may be making false and libal statments so maybe you just need to shut up.

You are so full of yourself that its disgusting.

Sometimes you might think about being a nice classy person and keeping your negative opinions to yourself.
