Sound's like you are doing fine, he will know what's in your heart, they are good at that.
He will bond to you and you only unless other's share in the caregiving, and later when he's more comfortable bring new people around for him to meet, friend's family, that sort of thing. Alway's let him make the move's, he'll either be curious or fearful. Control these situation's to avoid any set back's.
He'll pick up a lot from your female.
I think he's got a good home now.
