HIP/ELBOW XRAYS HOW DO YOU RATE THEM?

Hi Kim,

Those hips look pretty good, I just ofa'ed Dana Von Ryans hips, she turned 2 yrs on July 21st.

Maybe their x-rays are sitting on the same desk!

I hate waiting, hopefully we'll just put our thoughts aside until the results come in the mail......

Best of luck with your results.. How did they look when they took the xrays? Did you do elbows too? Pretty funny, they are both Alk decendents.. Mine is a grandson, yours is a great grand daughter..

Hi Kim,

I always do hips & elbows together, I also breed labs, they need hips,elbows & eyes checked.

Dana and Tessie are sisters from different litters, they are my 4th generation,
they have very thick bones, I love seeing all the dogs and their relatives on here,
much more than I enjoy seeing my own relatives!

Paula,

I checked out your site, I looked at Danas xrays, they look good. A little off, but so are Rookies. I think his will come back as a good, which I am perfectly happy with. My friend had her dog done a few months ago and it took 3 weeks to get them back. I am trying to not think about it much or time will drag..

I have had one shepherd come back with bad hips and elbows, that was really depressing. He died a year ago, at the age of 13yrs 4 months. He was an awesome dog. I did SAR and Schutzhund with him. It didnt slow him down till he was 10 or 11.

That is great news Kim.

Thanks so much for sharing the "official" rating. We usually see the opinions but never can compare to the actual rating given. Good learning experience.
