ok here goes

there is an icon on the tool bar that looks like a little hill with a sun (insert/edit  image) click on that

then click on the3rd tab along that says upload

then browse and find the image you want click  open ,send to server  ,ok then re-size the image i you need too and tada you have got it

now can someone tell me how to add a link to a pedigree or website

Tigermouse, copy and paste in the link.  Sometimes you will need to "split" where you've pasted it to by hitting enter.   Here's an example:

Just pasted not "split":

Pasted and then "split" :
this is the link to the standard

This is my girlie who is nearly 16 months.
