MBeckett  has a good post of some extras to ad to your puppy food...watch the brand of food you buy, please.  Beepy, I agree.

Also, I want to give you a little tip, on how to introduce the raw chicken or liver to your new pup....put it in the blender for the first   two months,,,and just pulp it....not too much....and add to pups food...make sure your pup is hungry...let him get hungry.  Do not overfeed a new pup

I have fed raw chicken for very long time and liver, and ground meat , into my pups and adults , and use my head,,,,as to how long to let sit out.. No salmonella ever   no ecoli problem.....

Do not let sit out in room,,,feed very cold and fresh,,,like for your own eating,,,and if dog does not eat it in 20 minutes,,,,THROW IT AWAY...

if you like the raw meat diets, which I consider much more healthy,,,with added ingredients as the dog gets older...you can do research and talk to Schutzhund breeders and trainers sites on this site. Dont ask your vet...They dont know about our german ways of doing things.

Keep your puppy diet simple...only add chicken and an oil, like someone above suggested...nothing else till been on it for about 20 days, then add like cottage cheese and yogurt one at a time...slowly is the key word.
