That first dog was one of the ugliest things i've ever seen. No offense, but REALLY. Shouldn't we atleast try and breed a dog that can MOVE without looking crippled and disgusting? I feel bad for the dog, it probably can't move well for very long. We need a much more practical approach on this instead of breeding dogs to look like a freak show.

Do you see a single west german owner or breeder making excuses for any of these dogs?  LOLOLOLOL yourself, please.

While everyone is commenting on the appauling backlines, perhaps we should also start to look at the horrendous hind quarters that lots of show dogs now have, sadly these dogs are among some of the top winning animals. In horses the same faulty hind quarters would be described as sickle hocks which is a severe weekness, & surely not something we want to become the norm in the GSD, lets keep the breed as a dog capable of doing a days work..both mentally & physically

Sorry but this is another topic!!

We could also talk about those working lines looking like a square terrier, those east and west feet, those steep croup etc etc..

Am. Dogs are much less angulated that we they were 10 years ago..it is improving very well..

Not every working dog is an exemple of the standard either..Wow we have a lot to talk about

singe- we can add to that list overly deep briskets, pinched elbows, pasterns so weak they look like they about to snap, hare feet...the topline is the first thing to always get critiqued.

Because it's the first thing that stuck the eyes isthe topline. Now I know you just want to talk about the problem in the GSD Am. showlines because there is absolutly NO PROBLEM with working lines (simply because they work) and european showlines (simply because it's european!).

THOSE BANANA BACK GSD LOOKS GREAT..ALL OF THEM..I DON'T SEE ANY FAULTS (HEY THEY ARE WORKING DOGS SO THEY CAN BE AS UGLY AS MY ASS IT WOULDN'T MATTER THEY CAN WORK SO LET'S JUST BREED THEM!)

YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID....
