1doggie2, I thought what you sent your breeder was very cute, especially the "little cows" part, LOL, but it was also a bit on the negative side, since it didn't consider all the good things your puppy might bring you, for which you might send something to your breeder, also. I think the two persectives make a whole truth, don't you? And I am sure your breeder was happy to sell you a puppy, you sound like a great puppy parent, and the breeder will be thrilled to recieve your pictures and updates. Veronica

Was not meant to be negitive. I saw where he had a male he sold and was listed right away for sale again. If you notice the begining line started with "good or bad".. I just get tired of seeing throw away dogs. So again to state my positon, However I receive him, he will be loved. The breeder is a stand up guy, and the pup has his ears up and is a rolly polly.

Very cute and I agree totally! I just found out we have a problem and the first thing that came to mind is the dog, his health and happiness. It makes me sick when someone has a dog in their home and when they find out there's a problem just get rid of it and get another. Like yesterday's trash, they really don't care about the dog. I understand how hopes can be dashed but how do you look into those eyes and just turn away?? My dogs are family, period. I will be happy as long as they are, no matter the circumstances.

So what if you are going to send your breeder if:
If he is the picture of good health until he is old and gray.
If his ears come up good and strong.
If his bite is perfect.
If he is the a healthy weight.
If he is free of all parasites because he has been diligently wormed.
If his shots are all up to date because the breeder gave them herself.
Please, what are you going to send your breeder.....
If he gives his life protecting you and yours.
~A breeder's perspective.
AkaVeronica, that almost brought tears to my eyes! Very nicely put!
(Yours too, 1doggie2! It's good to see a owner who isn't going to throw the dog out like so much trash if it's less than perfect!)
I adopted a cat from the local Pet Valu store, which would take unwanted litters. All kittens were vet checked, wormed and had their first shots. They sold them for $40 which I doubt would cover their expenses.
After I adopted a second cat, the first one began peeing in places other than his litterbox. What did I do?
I bought a special litter called 'Cat Attract'
I kept the basement door closed, so he couldn't go down there to pee. (I also had a litter box in the basement, just in case. He liked to come down and sit on my lap when I watched T.V. in the evening.)
I kept my closet door closed, so he couldn't pee in there.
I kept the bathroom door closed, so he couldn't pee in the bathtub.
I got rid of all rubber-backed rugs and mats, because there is something in rubber that makes cats think it's okay to pee on them. Once I'd done that, he stopped peeing just inside the front door!
Why did I go to all this trouble?
Because pets are for LIFE
Because after my husband died, the cat (Shadow) would run ahead of me up the stairs to the bedroom. Once I was in bed, he'd jump up on the bed, and have a little cuddle session with me. When I settled down to sleep, he'd curl up in the small of my back and sometimes stay there all night. He was a great comfort to me at a very difficult time.
He slipped out of the house one dark, foggy night in April of 2007, and was killed by a car. I miss him, but I'm glad I don't have to keep the bathroom and closet doors closed all the time anymore!
Yeah...just a cat, right?

Awww...well said Sunsilver. Good that you love your four legged family members. Sometimes Fluffy...our cat manners dog training cat, LOL., has an accident. I'll keep an eye out for that cat attract litter.
