 OrchardLane,

I appreciate your point of view, but, I would like to point out that children imitate what they see, and they do what they have seen and done, regardless of whether there is or is not supervision. This is exactly why it is so irresponsible for commercials running on TV, for instance, to promote bad behavior, be it violence, drag racing, smoking, or whatever. This is human nature. A child cannot often make a distinction between right and wrong or proper and improper, especially if there has been or is no consistency in how a given rule or standard is implied. 

For my money, children should not be taught that it is ok to get on Fidos' back, even for a moment, or that "cute" photo. That is just my opinion.

Teach them when they are young, or the may grow up like this.
