I use an oatmeal shampoo for dogs that is very gentle and very good for their skin. I forget the name of it right now and it's in the shed, and I'm inside and it's pouring outside. I'll try to remember to go get it when it stops raining.

As for the attitudes of the club members, I think it is a skepticism. They see many newbies come out all fired up and ready just to lose interest quickly after learning that it takes real committment and devotion to title dogs. Working schutzhund dogs is almost like having a second full time job, which is a major roadblock to people who have heavy work lives and family lives. So they stay a bit aloof until they know you are going to be committed. I'm not saying EVERY club is like that, but many are and then there are the Sch snobs that have trialed and titled many dogs and think they are better than everyone else. But the good people who do want to help, out number the snobs, it just takes a little time to get to comfortable with people. If you like the club, but feel a little on the outside, keep going anyway. You will soon be welcomed and will have a great time. Good luck with your new pup, she sounds like she has good potential and I'm sure you will do just fine with her.

Blitzen, I had forgotten about Murphy's oil soap.I used to use it on everything.!!What dilution do you use for bathing a dog?I rarely bathe just rinse them down and groom.I do use dawns dish liqiud(sp) which is rare.

Ibolay,Im not sure why she has this dog aggression going on.Simple advice.Take her out of her element...home enviroment.Put a nylon/leather collar on her for a couple of days just to see how she handles this.I would recommend a choke collar but not sure if you know the workings nor the correct feedthru.I am assumming that you dont have an area whereas you can attach a 6 ft lead to the collar and let her drag it around with no other dogs present. So my advice is to take her to a field of sorts..no one around.Attach a twenty foot lead to her collar..and just let her investigate.Say nothing.
