I don't have this law here in my state, least not that I'm aware of so far.
Sounds more like extortion or maybe job security to me.
Burn em down I say!!

Two moons, I hereby disavow any violent acts of any kind in responding to these "enemies within" that our founding fathers warned us about and included language in the Constitution about. You should too and should refrain from using such terms and phrases as you used in your above post. If you keep using such prases you could be labelled a potential domestic terrorist and could be included on a surveillance list (the red list) by homeland security. It is best to obey the laws so that you do not discredit yourself. This is what the enemy wants is for agent provacateurs to induce illegal and crazy acts by unstable protestors or when that fails to do a false flag op itself. The important thing to realize is that some of these so called animal welfare groups actually have very evil intentions against man and animals (related to cult activities, and yes this is very hard to believe but it has already been discovered by informants within such groups who are secretly singing like birds but can't exit such groups due to fear for their lives--not an exaggeration--a couple other very well respected GSD breeders who use this forum also know about this and believe it is as I state here). The proper way to fight these criminals in high places in govt and their special interest lobbyists that grease them (translated usually means gives them campaign money or trips and things) is to organize, educate folks, and vote out all the incumbent crooks and violators of our US Constitution and Bill of Rights.
These groups have a lot of money and a history of suing for libel/slander even though because they are public figures and know they can't win, they attempt to run folks out of money, legal harassment so to speak. Because a fair number of informants from these groups have agreed to talk in secret and are telling everything which is being video recorded, eventually all their evil practices will come out in the major national media. I know about this because I know one investigator of one of the of the several groups of investigators who are working diligently on this matter in secret at a national level. In addition, it is my understanding that several new folks have infiltrated which are actually undercover operatives. If the story breaks completely in the national media (only part of it has so far in a few national media segments) which will probably happen eventually, you will see the cockroaches run for cover from the light. Bottom line is this, these folks I am referring to do not want the same things done to them that they do to people and animals (total hippocrites for sure and evil to the core). So far allegedly over 40 have been murdered by these sickos. The case has been cracked but because some are now in fairly high govt positions or well connected it is hard to get law enforcement to do their job (endemic corruption of this current administration). That may change after the upcoming national elections.

Coming from the veterinary world I might be able to shed some light on this...
I have not heard of any "new law" but I do know that by California state law a doctor or veterinarian can not prescribed meds or give vaccines without seeing the patient within the year. That being said if an animal is coming in for their annual vaccines we do and charge for a brief exam ($25). If the owner has other concerns (recent diarrhea, limping, etc) then a full exam is charged and if warranted the vaccines are not done until a later date and at that time there is no "exam" fee charged.
Vaccine clinics get away with this by having a licensed veterinarian on site and while they may or may not check the animals temp and heart rate before giving the vaccine (which would be sufficient as an "exam") they are required to by California State law. Here is my concern with vaccine clinics held off site of a veterinary clinic, if the animal has a reaction to the vaccine given ( I have seen 7 year old dogs go in anaphylactic shock from a vaccine they had been receiving for years) and it is severe enough to warrant immediate attention you now have to drive to another location for treatment. Yes, that may be extreme but it happens and I am not willing to take that chance with my dogs. Oh and while I am at it, most (not all) reactions come from the lepto vaccine which is one you can do yourself. When I still worked at the clinic we gave my female, at the time, a lepto vaccine because we were moving to an area that warranted having it done, within 10 minutes her muzzle had swollen to twice it's normal size! Scared the crap out of me and I refuse to do my own vaccines just for that reason. I live 30 minutes from the nearest vet or emergency clinic...
Merial recently changed their guarantee on Heartgard Plus, the animal must now be tested every year in order for them to stand behind their product. Previously, if the animal had been on the preventative monthly they required a 3 year test...
For myself and my dogs it is a matter or peace of mind, I spent roughly $1200/year to have my 4 dogs get their annual exam, vaccines as needed, bloodwork, Heartgard Plus and Frontline.

Well every "clinic" I have ever gone to was at a vet or the SPCA. Vets usually held one, 1 day a month, held outside the office, but still at the vets if something should happen. You pull up, fill out paperwork, find your spot in line, pull your dog out of the car to get shots, put dog back up, go inside and pay.
Since others in California are still doing these clinics, I will ignore what the woman at the vet told me and call every place in 2 towns. Maybe I will get somewhere or more information as to why many vets are no longer doing them.
Kari, I'm not willing to drive to the Bay. I'd spend the same in fuel, so it would be a wash. Loomis Basin is charging me $110.00 for all 3 dogs, still more than what I am used to but if I can't find a vac clinic in the next week, I will have to take that rout. 2 of the 3 dogs have seen the vet this year. My 5 month old has been seen 5 times, for puppy shots, shipping and my health check when she arrived. Baden was seen a couple months ago for skin allergies. All dogs are healthy as can be and a "exam" if you can even call them that are laughable, on top of un needed.

It is coming so get prepared...THe word is out....these free clinics will vanish little by little.
The electric company is Cherokee county Co-Op, and I live in Whitehouse inbetween Troup and Jacksonville....Some parts of the united states are slower than otheres...The spay and neuter laws are the beginning.. The chips in animal is first and people second...and I dont want to hear that it is good to find them and good to find little ole people who have althimers or what ever else..., if you believe that is ok than believe it,,,I happen to know it is for the ultimate take over of a one world government with final control....only the rich and the poor..will exist and no more freedoms to even chose where you live or what you get to do for a living.....I hope Im not here for all this and it will take a few years to all come into play..
Read Kevins books...
Preston also can fill in the blanks as can many other Americans who have been studying and watching with their oil lamps lit.

4Pack did you look through their site? I think they travel all over... but you have to look by zip code. Maybe there is something similar up there?
I have no problem taking my dog to a clinic, I don't live in the boonies so if there was an alergic reaction of some sort, the vet's office with their $45.00 exam fee is right down the road.
I think it is rediculous the money that a vet charges for a "health check" when I took Sasha for her flight certificate when we went to the HOT Championship last year, he didn't even touch my dog, he looked at her eyes, no instrument just looked at her, he asked me any sneezing, coughing, or odd behavior? I said NO and he said ok, you can pick up your certificate at the front desk, he was literally in the exam room for 3 minutes and $65 later I have a certificate that I can have INCASE someone at the airline wants to see it.

Preston,
I agree that big brother and all his little brothers, and his sisters are watching. And I am sure I'm already in the system.
I have been telling people for years that there is no cure for what we face and that in my opinion it will never end as long as the wheels keep spinning.
And if everyone shouts fire those who listen might actually hear. Man and the earth would be better off if the wheels feel off the wagon wouldn't they.
Its actually from a movie, burn it all down.
They know where we live, I understand more than you know. And it's a lot bigger than this particular issue as I'm sure you will agree.
Until that day then, also taken from a flick. Change is coming, its evolution as I see it. The sooner the better for all I care.
Hey I just read about the Bush impeachment proposed by Ohio's Kusinich? did I spell it right?
Till that day then.

I had to call around but found a vet that will have a tech come into the waiting room and admin shots with no exam fee. $12.50 per dog. It's not a law but many vets are not just giving the shot anymore. One more way to price gouge I guess. I'll be picking up my dogs records and leaving for good, my back up vet that lied to me. I guess being honest though and just saying "we are no longer willing to save you $" wouldn't have sounded good on their part.
