Thank you Preston :-) Layla was my heart and my ppd, and I will always miss her. She did throw out some really nice pigmented pups too. One of her son's is above my name in the right hand corner.
This is her son Ando
Here is Arkon
And their sister Anka
Can you tell it was the "A" litter I sure hope that the people that own the 2 boy's I posted out of my litter won't mind?

Elly, old time breed wardens in Germany back in the 1960's, and 70's used to say that great pigment tended to accompany robustness, hardness, health and genetic vitality. I always found that to be true with the limited sample of GSDs I have known well. Dilution and too much white has been purported to signal degeneracy of some degree, and shows in lighter nails, too.
It's always nice to see such excellent, rare pigment. Have you found that your dogs excellent pigment seems to accompany additional robustness, hardness, health or genetic vitality?

Thanks Kim :-) They do look pretty much alike don't they!!!
Preston,
I will have to agree with the robust, and health of them, at least for me, but hardness, not so sure about that one. My pups can be a little bull headed at times, but they are also sensitive with correction too. That can be pretty common(sensitive with correction)in the DDR lines, at least that is what I've found. They also take a while to mature, and my guy's have a while to go on that part. Hopefully as they grow they will get some hardness in them, it will be a wait and see thingy.
