thank you all for great feedback.

totally forgot to mention yes indeed she is digging countable times her bed but numerous times these days in the backyard. she used to do it when she was puppy and completely stopped and now after she is acting this behavior oh! she is diggin my backyard. she tries to hide the raw bone and sometimes even biscuit treat even in the garage inside her piles of towels and bed covers.

i still left her toy squeaky toy there then maybe i should remove it. should i completely remove from her bed and don't give her?

i shouldn't provide anyother toys like teddy bear or monkey but no squeaky, should I?

and also last week my neighbour dog try to attack her which one is like chihuhua type very small but too aggressive and almost coming to attack even the  owner was tight leashed and mine was in control with me but my dog never puts her mouth but all of a sudden these days barks like a crazy been a week and took to dog park to socialize during weekend as usual and this time she bit one medium size dog's tail and getting little aggressive than before.

don't know if this is related to after heating or false pregnancy behavior or due to my neighbour dog behavior?

would be glad to hear.

thank you all once again.

yup!  false pregnancy.  as soon as I read your topic, I almost knew what it was.  They can get really hormonal at times.

no squeaky toys and i wouldn't recommend Teddy's either balls Kong's dumbbell's etc are fine try swapping her toys once a week so she doesnt get obsessed with one particular toy

continue to socialize her in the park and use a strong verbal command if she barks at another dog walk 10 paces away from the other dog then turn around and head back towards the dog if she starts again repeat over and over again until she stops this should work.

all the best

How old is the common age for something like this to happen or is just when its that dogs time?

With my girl it was after her first heat,  which was 8.5 months, the digging began 2 months or so later. I have had a few intack females in the past and never had any do this before nor do the toy thing. I have heard of it happening though, and lactating also. Both those dogs were Rotties.

hi all,

thanks for sharing with me and i found incredibly change in my gal.

once after i got response from this post i did remove her squeaky toy and hide somewhere didn't provide anyother toy except  ball.

since yesterday she is trying to play with me and i played with her and took for walk....and yesterday she spent few hrs. with me as oppose to where she used to stay inside the crate with the toy.

now today she looks really fresh not staying all the time inside her crate but staying in the living room close to me and jumping to play with me.....

this completely changed after just removing her toy away.......and looks barking less than last time.....

that's great.

just to share with you all!

thanks much.
