It's obvious from your name and the way you word things that you are from India. If you still live there, I would caution you about letting your dog swim in rivers and lakes. The water in some areas of India is heavily polluted, and carries numerous diseases and parasites, which could seriously harm or even kill your dog.  Yes, swimming is great exercise, but be careful you only let your dog swim in clean water. Washing him off with tap water afterwards would be a good idea, too.

I've got some swimmers here too!  One will actually almost scream to get to the water.  And is quite good at air scenting water too.

But, yes you do have to be careful where you let your dogs swim.

Dogs with skin problems may benefit from swimming, especially in salt water.

If your dog has a problem with water in the ear, use "swimmer's ear" you can get it over the counter. My daughter used it when she played water polo. I began using on my rottie who use to have ear infections on a regular basis. WORKS GREAT, dry's up the wter in the ears.
