I have seen three legged cats and dogs that live full happy lives. My vet has a rescued kitten with one front leg removed at the shoulder the cat has the run of the clinic and everyone loves its curiousity. Its a very cute kitten to start with, but it has to peek around corners and investigate every new arrival, seems to have no fear of anything. I know it would rather be whole but it has a good place to live and people who love it and I can't see it suffering at all. My neighbor growing up had a beagle who had been hit by a car and lost a hind leg over the accident. He would still run rabbits and bred several time's on one leg. I'm sure that was a sight..lol
