 Brat,

Is this your post on another site? Unbelievable. Do some more research....maybe years and years more.

----------

My question is when should a male german shepherd testicles drop? I did some research on the web and it said one should be down after 6-8 weeks and the other one will come down when the dog is between the ages of 6 months and a year. My friend was going to use him as a stud, but doesn't want to wait and see if his other testicle will drop. He is a rare liver/tan AKC German Shepherd. I don't want him to get fixed if he doesn't have too. What should I tell my friend to do?

Hodie and others:

I am sorry if I have asked certain questions before, I just really want to know what others think. I am thankful that you post back to me, and I really appreciate it. I do not breed and sell my females after they are too old. I do not believe in that. I actually do not see why so many people sell their adult dogs, but that is not my business.

I am new to this whole posting thing along with breeding, but I was told to always ask questions even if the questions are repeated. That is just how some people learn. At least I am trying to learn what is right and what is not. I truly am. I believe in breeding dogs that have good or better hips/elbows/temperament, breed worthy, and so much more. Why bring dogs into this world that will have a bad life due to hips or temperament. I have scars from a shepherd that was brought up by a back yard breeder, but I still keep going. If you don't ask questions, then how are you going to learn?

I never understood why people breed female and never keep them. To me, it seems like a waste of time. That seems mean, but that female could have a family life resting by the fire or playing with children. I just want to help this lady out. One of my relatives knows her, and I feel bad for her. This year is not going to good for her. She just lost her husband a few weeks ago and has til the end of this month to move out of her home for the pass 40 plus years. To top it all off, she may have cancer and she has three dogs that MUST find new homes. I would of been taking the mom and dad.

I see people, trying to make a difference in other lives, and all I can think of this poor little lady with no one to turn too. No one will help her out. She cannot take any of the dogs with her due to moving into a retirement home. What would you all do? I read a post about a senotor who either found or had a shepherd pregnant, and he called animal control to come and get the mother. I cannot see why people do the things they do, but I cannot see this mother go into a foster program, like the other one. She is a great dog. I really wish she would of not been pregnant.

I hope if I ask too many repeated questions, that you can all forgive me for it. I have friends (like the poodle lady) who have made way too many mistakes in breeding females, and I do not want to make a mistake like that. She put her four week old pregnant female into a kennel for training. I could never do that. I cry just at the thought of it. I love dogs, and mine will be with me forever. I am sorry, Hodie, if it seems like a waste of your time posting me back. I really am sorry.

Thanks
Nikki

That was not me. Like I said earlier, I have gotten emails in the past for people looking for another mebigbadbrat but @yahoo.com

But I do agree with the fact that, that person needs to study study study

Anyone else feel like slamming down a shot of JD right now?

 Blitzen,

Send some my way.

 Brat.

You must think we are idiots. Just how likely is it that someone uses exactly the same screen name and asks these same kinds of questions on multiple boards all over the internet? I looked at a lot of sites and see the same kinds of things being asked there, showing a complete novice and someone who clearly has not learned one damn thing from the time and effort people put into posting here.

Yes, it is a good thing to learn and ask questions, but if one is not genuine in seeking knowledge, what it is is an insult to those who try to help. Many of us have already given you some great advice but you have not taken it.

I, for one, am finished wasting my time. And yes, you need to study, study, study, and then, more importantly, put something you learn to good use. You have no business breeding dogs at this point in your life. NONE.

Hodie,

I am sorry if you do not believe me, but it wasnt me. I do not believe any of you are idiots, that is why I had post my question. I just thought if I asked people that know, then I will know what to do. You can think whatever you want, but I know what sites I am with and what ones I am not.

I take in all the advice that each and every one of you say. I write down notes and quotes so I have something to look back at. This was a different question all together. I have asked a question for my friend that had the poodle, hip x-rays, and this one. I look up all the information I possibly can find before even thinking about writing out a post.

I am sorry that you feel that way. I am bettering myself by learning as much as I can, and I am not here to please you. All I wanted was one answer to what I should do about the female. That was it. Why even answer my question, if you say you have already answered it before? Just leave it and let someone else answer.

Thanks any ways, for your time and patience.

What an idiotic thing to do to a poor dog.   Its not uncommon for an animal to eat her young under such stressful conditions.  Dont buy the damned dog and turn the bitch in to animal control or the Humane society.  No more double talk.
