Don Corleone

The whole video is photoshopped.  They shrunk the dog down like they did the hobbits in the Lord of the Rings.  That dog is really 7 yrs old!

If one has a good pup with the ability to concentrate, yes, you would be amazed at what a competent trainer can do. I have video of a pup I may buy that would blow the socks off this pup, nice as she is. It takes a dog and a fine trainer knowing how to motivate. My friend has a 5 month old here who is dynamite as well. One must know how to select such pups and then one must have the skills and patience to work with them. One potential drawback is that when one does have such a pup, one wants to go ahead too quickly. That CAN lead to trouble down the road when the dog is burned out. So another critical skill is to understand how to maintain a good level of training. It is a nice pup in this video and the person working with the dog knows how to use the dogs' natural abilities to her advantage. I would like to see more work done at this age with a rag or a small tug, if preparing for Schutzhund, but I also normally begin with food as the motivation. Nice work here.

Fanbloodytastic, what a little ball of dynamite. And what a great mum and trainer.

This appears to be the same puppy. I'm not sure what she's donig. Is this a type of training/socialization or just playtime for her?

That is the very beginning stages of teaching a pup to track.

I have met the young woman in the video. It is amazing what she can do with the pups and her dogs. She is truly incredible with them.  (Don't know if she would want her name out there on the web, so I am not naming her)

She occasionally works with our trainer as well, and has come to our group training. It is just as amazing in person. She definitely has "a way". :-)

Kudos to the trainer!

Great puppy,  wow,.   Not quite sure about the "out" being associated with pain though?  Whatever works i suppose.  Good luck, great prospect for the future.
