Veronica.  I bought three imports at the same time.  Two of the three worked out just fine.  The third is dysplastic, but other than that is a great girl.  I did very well with two out of three as far as hips go.  I bought at age 3 months.  Hard to check for dysplasia at that time.  Everything that could be checked in three month old pups, was checked, and the only problem was that at age 2 years, one female came back dysplastic.  Their temperments and health otherwise, is just fine.  It did take one females ears awhile to come up.  About five months if I remember correctly.

I would say that two out of three is typical at that age, as far as successfully picking good dogs.

I have since acquired another female (adult) and another male (adult).  I will never buy another puppy.  Just something I will not do again. I will raise my own, for me, if I want another.

I am planning on crossing my showlines with my working lines, but really don't want to get into that argument again.  It has been discussed, with most stating that it is a bad idea, and some stating that it is a good idea.  Before anyone asks, I am striving for the golden middle.

I know that you have good dogs.  I have read about them in the past.

Okay dokay, I understand now.  I am not against showline and working line crosses.  Atom'e av Oddvarg and Aly av Oddvarg, who both went to the 2006 WUSV on the Norwegian team, are from a bitch who is half or entirely showline (grand daughter of Ulk von Arlett, while the sire is a well known working line dog: Zidane van't Leefdaalhof.  I believe Atom'e went 12th and Aly 14th? in the 2006 WUSV.  Veronica
