Two Moons

Steve I believe rose started the caps..   some people havent learned the chatroom protocall about caps and colors, and I really dont see any abusive language.

Is everybody all that touchy this morning?

Henry,  What was your original intent for this thread; looks like this is getting off topic....

by HENRY on 15 March 2008 - 13:03

OK firstly Steve,

I apologise if I came across as being rude. I did not mean to, And I guarantee you, that I respect my elders 100%. And if you are old enough to be my grandfather, then you have lived a much longer live than me and I will listen to your advice. But, believe me, I know what a bad temper can do to somebody. But, please believe me when I say that I do not have a short fuse. If you don't mind me saying, I don't believe that everybody using capital letters has a short fuse. (YELLOWROSE also used Capitals.) So, please accept my apology?

And lastly, please let me explain why I might have been a little off today. Two Moons, this was going to be my original post:

LAST NIGHT, MY ELDER BROTHER'S 16TH BIRTHDAY, WE WERE COMING HOME FROM HAAGEN-DAZ AND MY MUM AND BROTHER WALKED HOME. (ABOUT TEN MINUTES WALK). SO I WAS AT HOME PLAYING IN THE GARDEN WITH MY DOGS WHEN I HEARD MY MOTHER AND BROTHER SHOUTING FOR MY DAD. AND TO CUT A LONG STORY SHORT, JUST AS THEY WERE COMING UP TO MY HOUSE, TWO INDIAN-MALAYSIAN MEN PULLED UP ON A BIKE AND ONE GOT OFF, FLICKED A KNIFE AND LUNGED AT MY MUMS BAG, IN THE PROCESS KICKING HER. THE BAG HAD A LOT OF MONEY, A CAMERA THAT I HAD BOUGHT FOR MY MUMS CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND A MOBILE PHONE, CREDIT CARDS ETC ETC.

THIS ALL HAPPENED AT ABOUT 9:00 IN THE NICEST AREA IN PENANG. SO IT WAS VERY UNEXPECTED.

WELL MY POINT IS, THIS SHOWED ME THAT I NEED TO BE MORE PREPARED, SO I WANT TO ENCOURAGE MY DOGS GUARDING AND EVEN TEACH THEM TO BE WEARY OF STRANGERS WHEN GOING ON WALKS. YOU KNOW, THE WHOLE PPD.

COULD ANYONE PLEASE SHARE THEIR THOUGHTS.

Henry,

I know nothing about your dogs, if they are trained well you might use them for protection, but I have never used mine in that way.   A man can kill a dog no matter how well its trained.  Two men even easier.   Two dogs one man a different story.

Sorry bout your troubles, sounds bad.   Usually unless you really can handle a situation like this its best to give it up and just try to survive the attack.   Its a sad truth that we have such people in our world.

If you train your dogs and keep them together they will be reason for most criminals to move on.  most but not all.

its up to you.

Henry

Sorry to here about your Mum. It was awful for her and i hope your family were unharmed

I went as i said in another post back over to England for the weekend to a Show, third week of january but the next morning i was walking down through the town to the Show Venue and i too was attacked by two people from behind,

Fortunatly i had trained  and competed in the Martial Arts (Karate) for some 10 plus years, but  nearly forty years ago when i finished

But i was lucky it came back to me just when i needed it, One finished on the wet pavement nursing a broken nose and the other one did not want to know, but i wished it had not happened and i hope not ever again

I could not call the Police because it was very quiet with only a couple of of people around and they did not stop, when they saw what had happened

You are the right age to take up something like this . you will learn about disapline, which is good for us all at any age. and you know in that sport if one loses control the fight is lost

Something learned which is not to be abused, but can help a fellow grow in more ways than one No Apology needed ,but thank you

Steve

When I was a boy, guys fought.   Was fist fights and a little of the arts, but as I got older and the world changed it got more serious.   Now its about weapons, fights are no longer just broken nose's.   People will shoot you, stab you, and or beat your brains in with a pipe.   I learned to stay clear of situations like that.  Most criminals when I was young only wanted what you had.   Now a days they dont care and would just as soon kill you for a dollar.   Some even think its nothing to take a life.

Our worlds a sad place,  no matter where you live.    A wise person would learn to avoid trouble, or be ready to put it all on the line.   Thats whats at stake here where I live anyway.   Shootings and stabbings are common place on the nightly news.

No more high school fist fights.   Our society is doing something wrong I would say.   Blame it on TV and video games but my generation and the one before me has screwed up in the way we raised our children.   Maybe our children can figure it out and do better.   I hope so anyway.

Nice upbeat Saturday morning huh?

Two Moons

I was hit on the back of the head but mostly caught it between the shoulder blades, it was as i dropped to waist height i turned on my leg and hit him on the way up, No need to stick the boot in he would look like a Panda the next day,

We all know what sort of world it is with knives and Guns but over here and in England its illegal to carry even a knife but of course they do, even if it was not illegal i would not,

Regards the two fellows who came up on me i had no interest in them at all, I do not even know what colour  hair they had was it was of no interest me, i only spoke two words and that was to the other Yob, i said 'You Too', and he shook his head

I backed away and continued to the show, it was over in 30 or so seconds
