Molly,
My female was around seventeen to eighteen months. I told the vet I wanted redo due to my female not being straight. He would not do the x-ray over. There is a white stop in the middle (around the stomach area) from my camera. I have a better picture but did not post it yet.

Molly,
I just remembered that my female went into heat approx. a week after this x-ray was taken. Could this of made the x-rays bad?

heat cycle around the time of x-rays can definately make the hips "more lax" - I'd still be worried about the one hip that looks very loose, not seated well in the socket at all. Also heat cycles will not affect the boney formation - looks to me like the necks are thickened and the heads are somewhat flatter than they should be. But, to be certain, I'd re-do the x-rays, make sure the vet positions them exactly straight. Do them a month at least before or after a heat cycle. Then you will know for sure what they really are or aren't.

Get another xray . But even then I do not think they will pass.

Thanks everyone who helped me with this post and answering my questions. I hope and pray that the x-rays are not really bad. My baby will be fixed after April 17th when her OFA finals come in. I will then see if this post is still on here and add the results. With what everyone has been saying, the breeder and owners of the siblings will be emailed the results.
Thanks again!

Here is a much better picture. Please don't mind the bowl. The only way I could get a better picture was by using my snake's cage and the light. I believe this picture is a lot better and does not have that whitish circle in the stomach area. Let me know if you all think these are still poor hips.
Thanks so much! Nikki

Sorry, Nikki. If anything it makes it more clear. I'm not sure that another xray will help as it doesn't change the bone. You could try...

If it makes a difference, the hips are not "that bad" that your dog may not remain sound and happy and active for a very long life. There is no sign of arthritis (yet), the hips are seated in the sockets, the sockets are deep enough, and so as I said - even if they don't pass, your dog may never have any problems. Just not breedworthy, so if you had your heart set on breeding her, maybe start thinking otherwise. But as for nice happy pet dog that can lead a very active life, I'll bet your dog will, without any problems.

I do her again if she were my dog.
