Whats even sadder is he used to be a very successful breeder and exhibitor of German Shepherds making up a least one homebred champion in the UK  I would imagine he is breeding the dogs himself, he apparently did this when he lived in Berkshire and all the dogs lived as a pack.

It really is a sad world.

Brittany,

Some American Indians took scalps as a way of counting coup on thier enemies, other indians like many whites took scalps for bounty before the revolutionary war.   I believe the british started this bounty, or maybe it was the french, its been a while since my last history exam.

This man is in the fur business, whos buying his fur?   I'm not against the fur trade per say, but i didnt know there was such a big market for dog in Europe.    At least this isnt a bengal tiger or another endangered spiecies that are still being killed for fur.

If the locals cant find a law to stop him, who is to blame?    I once raised fur animals and I trapped for many years, its part of some peoples lives just like the chinese and the use of dogs for food.    Do you eat meat?  Do you have anything made of leather?

I dont have first hand on the scene knowledge of what this man is doing to his dogs.  I'm sure it has something to do with money.

Its sad because they are dogs, but not evil.  Again who's buying the fur?  Disgusting yes, cruel yes, those dogs know whats going on and for that reason this should not be allowed.

I see a long emotional week ahead for the database.  Dont forget people kill horse's too, another noble animal.

Two moons, have you lost the plot? You are almost condoning what this arsehole is doing because its not an endangered species of animal? Jeez, these are living, breathing, feeling animals. Look into your own dogs eyes and tell them its ok.

Where is ALF when they are needed?

by Watcher on 02 March 2008 - 21:03

I think Two Moons is saying how different is this to killing cows, pigs and horses for consumption or material uses. So he's trying to justify his argument that it is no different and it's down to making money and business practices. Unfortunately this is way different 99% of cows, pigs and horses a reared well and have somewhat of a  decent life before being humanly destroyed for the market place. This man has no concern for these animals welfare at all as no matter what he is going to kill them inhumanly just to make money from there furs.

Now people are wondering why his neighbours are only whining about it, well, maybe it is down to the fact that they can't do anything about it, hell even the authorities can't do anything about, this is were it comes down to the laws in Scotland or someone taking the matter into their own hands but if someone does, guess who would end up in jail?
