I'd liked to have owned Dixie Haus Santiages. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/83637.html
By Fado Karthago out of an Uwe Kirchental female. Not the most beautiful bitch I ever saw, but produced WAY more than her share of BSP, WUSV, LGA competitors and dogs/bitches... who continue to produce top working dogs today. Foundation female for Waldwinkel. http://www.vom-waldwinkel.de/index.html
Another top lady: Jana von der Maineiche. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/2973.html
Foundation female found in the pedigree of nearly every super dog Hugo Mahr (and now daughter and husband Gerald Groos) ever produced. I have a picture I took of her at 15 yrs. old somewhere. Stiff and slowed up some, but still helping Frau Mahr with the garden every day. :)

There are not many top bitches currently in the United States. Betty vom Rosenbach is definitely a top bitch, with over twenty-five SCH titled progeny with most being V-rated, and as of to date she has not produced any NZ hips or elbows, Betty's progeny is located in basically every part of the world. Tom Trainer usually has a top top bitch in his kennel. Vinetta vom Karthago is no longer in Europe, so she may be in the US, a very nice bitch, a top breeding bitch for Karthago Kennels. Pia of von Rheinland has always had top bitches in her kennel. There maybe one or two across the border in Canada. Gabi Arolser Holz resides in the United States with Shelly Strohl Carla Schiffslache was imported into the the United States recently. So, not many but there are a few very nice top bitches in the United States.

Thank you for mentioning Gabi-girl as a good female in the US. She's laying on my feet as I write this, doubtless flattered ;) Don't know who I'm going to breed her to this year yet but I have a couple of months to think about it.

I notice you mention the Male Zender vom Lusondai in your post above.handler Francis Smulders
He is now 8 years old and he competed in the Selection Trial this last Sunday for the Dogs to be selected for the forth coming WUSV in the USA
He finished in 3rd place only two points behind 'NINA' of Johnny Degens
He was Awesome in his Obedinace and Protection, Did not see his tracking
I thought to myself what a brilliant mate for Nina,
One could expect something special from this pair of great Dogs.
I will be very much suprised, and dissapointed if the two of them do not get selected for the Belgium team but only time will tell, Both performed fantastic

Your welcome Shelly. You have done a very good job with Gabi, I hear she is producing outstanding puppies for you. So many times top bitches are imported into the US and their owners breed them to sub-standard males. It seems you have avoided this. Good luck to you and Gabi in the future and to the owners of the females I have mentioned, whom ever the owners may be.

I have imported a top workingline female who has an outstanding record of producing. All of her offspring (if old enough) received a-normal. Out of 6 (titled) puppies from her first litter, 4 received a V-rating in conformation. That was with V-Karn vom Fegelhof. A repeat breeding produced three females: One went police and the other two are in working homes. When I got her last summer bred to V-Paska vom Salztalblick and I was very pleased with all five puppies. Hopefully, I have placed the ones I sold well and the owners will stick to their promises. Only time will tell. Here is our black girl: www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/400203.html We consider ourselves very lucky to have been able to get her. That was only possible through a good friend of ours who is also an SV trial judge. He talked to her former owner (also a judge) to let us have her with the promise of a few of her offspring going back to their region in Germany. And yes VBTK, you are absolutely right about females being bred to substandard males over here, because people do not want to make the time, effort and pay the price for going to an excellent male. That is a shame, but it can only be changed if true dog sports people change their attitude accordingly. I would never ever do that kind of injustice to my girl's genetic potential. A male is supposed to compliment a female and should be at least of equal quality. She will be bred here to an outstanding male which I have known for a few years now. Then in fall of this year, she will go back to her former owner for a few months who will breed her for us again in Germany.

Off topic-
If Gabi-girl doesn't stop digging holes in the mud, glorifying in her "new" coat color and texture as she slips by me to shake all over the fresh painted walls in the house, I am going to tie her in the backof the pick up run her throught the car wash every night till she finishes shedding. LOL Good thing she and Goof-ball Jed like each other. He'll be chained on the other side of the truck bed on their way through. How T/Carol can spend a whole day in the same ex run with Gabi, emerging without so much as a speck of dirt on his coat while Gabi is proudly sporting 5 lbs. of mud, I may never fully understand.
I'm wondering at this point if their isn't some feral swine somewhere back in some of my dogs' pedigrees.
