jletcher18, is it your first GSD?

by jletcher18 on 10 February 2008 - 17:02
No rus, not my first GSD but she is the first out of my breeding program that I have kept. (our "A" litter was an accedental breeding 6 years ago, Our "B" litter belonged to my husband and this girl was my pick from my "C" litter out of 2 of my own dogs)

Very nice JoAnn. I like the edge she has to her! She is going to be fun.
Very nice balance and good balanced decoy work too.
Is she from Dar?

JoAnn, fabulous little girl, she ROCKS! How easy is it going to be to train this girl. A piece of cake, you have given her a brilliant start, i will look forward to seeing how she progresses. Thanks for sharing.

Just peeked at the ring videos.
If you get a chance, check out "Mac the Mouth". I know Kadi and have seen that dog first handle several times. I havn't worked him yet and to be honest might not want to:)
He is a little slow for my taste but that dog would hurt you in a bad way.
If you want a Mal, I would look her up. Very knowlegable, experienced, and a real nice lady to boot.

Get A Real Dog,
Thank you! I liked Kadi`s site and was impressed by the considerable quantity of the video:

This one is especially nice!

Vassiliev des Contes d'Hoffmann (Mac`s name). Vassiliev sounds like a Russian surname. Get A Real Dog, do you (by any chance) know why?

KYLE, thank you for the thread!

I have no idea where the name came from.
The contes d'hoffman kennel uses Belgian blood toned down a little for ring you will see some in Belgian ring but through St Huberts with fake pedigrees, not so much in NVBK. Watered down the dominance and outright aggression (in my opinion from the dogs I have seen). They are hard dogs, can take ALOT from the handler and don;t seem to come up the line. Never seen one even come close to being run by a decoy. They are the real deal and will bite with no equipment. Not out of pure aggression but prey and confidence. Nothing personal, but they are going to kick your ass.
Most of the blood comes down from Rambo or Stan. You do see alot of blue dogs. I have heard that comes from Stan.
