Nervebag
Nice name by the way.
Your post was so off topic that I did a search on your prior posts and saw what you had listed as your kennel name.
It is obvious that you have a personal agenda here, and one shared by another poster on this board.
In the interest of keeping this board entertaining and educational for the rest of us that dont want to play breeder politics why don't you keep it off board?
How about the rest of you? Do you find this kind of crap entertaining and are secretly relieved that it's not you, or have you just had enough of it? If it's the latter, maybe it's time for us to self-moderate a bit.

Santa Fe was another I am looking at.I do mainly highway driving. Mostly just to and from work. Another reason a truck might be good is that my whole SUV will become prone to smelling like dog! But I do like the looks of the Santa Fe.

If you are a US citizen, PLEASE buy an American made vehicle. Thanks.

I could not hear russ very well, maybe he (or is this a she as in one of lee's many alias') could take their haed out of their ass and speak clearly

Is it necessary to be vulgar? Why is it whenever anyone says enough they are accused of being a Cougar alias? By that logic all of the bashing threads would be coming from the same source.

We have an old '97 AWD Aerostar van that holds 4 #500 crates, a lot more, and pulls the dog trailer handily. It gets 22 mpg highway and has never let me down, now sporting 143K on the odometer.
We also have a 2000 Chevy S-10 pick-up EXT cab with selectable 4WD, holds only two #500 crates (sideways), two #400 side-by-side, only gets about 13-15mpg in 2WD! The interior is literally falling apart and its always needing some kind of repair. Give me a big, honking Expedition over that thing any day!
If you don't need too much room, a lot of people I know swear by the Chrysler Town & Country AWD, but I don't like the handling and the low ground clearance. The Dodge 2WD version with a smaller engine I rented was decent on fuel, but even "squishier" in handling and had a hell of a time on hills with 2 small women, 3 crates and a week's worth of luggage/provisions/equipment. My friend has an Escape she likes, but it only holds one crate. I doubt it would be god with a 4 dogs trailer, too light itself to manage the weight.
They quit making AWD Chevy Astro vans in '05, but if you can find one with low mileage they are great for dogs. Hold 4 #500 crates, fast, fuel efficient, handle well with a load, and go darned near anywhere in snow/off road. the only down-side I found was there's very little foot room on the passenger side.
Good luck

Ford Taurus X
Progression of the Ford Freestyle. Avg around 30-32 mpg hwy. available in All-wheel Drive. Very spacious vehicle. You can fit a 500 series in the back easily without taking the back seats down. With the Back seats and the third row of seats, you can fit two 500 series crates easily with room to spare for all the gear.

Surely you can't fit two 500 crates side-by-side facing rear in the Taurus X?

I've recently succumb to a mini van myself. Sigh.......
I've got the Hyundai Entourage which is very roomy. I've got three wire crates in there right now and could fit four in there very easily. I had vari kennels in there initially too, but do like to be able to see out the back more easily. As I plan on having a deck built too. The mileage is supposed to be 18 to 25, and I've been consistently getting around 19 at the moment and that's a mixd of highway and back road type stuff. And sometimes the highway is sitting in traffic going to work. My only complaint is that I wish that the mileage could be a bit better. Only the back row is fold and go, but the second row is two captains chairs that are easily removable. I think that they are like 30 or so pounds each.
I used to have a Suburu Outback and could barely fit two crates in there. So I definitely appreciate the extra room.
