In my honest opinion, I believe once PETA was able to rid the world of pets of any type, they would move on to the next topic, perhaps, neutering people (which, in some cases might not be a bad idea).
I think they are just people with big egos who want to be heard running their mouths. Obviously, they will use any tactics they can, including hurting people, lying, making false statements. These sorts of people are lunatics and will stop at nothing.

Makes ya want to hurl, doesn't it, Dawgs? What the heck do they do with all the puppies? And I assume both dogs are mutts to start with?
So glad I was able to give my boy a life, free of that damn chain he was on!

Yeah, it does. The sell these unspayed unuetered puppies for 150 apiece. You see, it's not about the money. The bitch looks as though she's all Shepherd but I'm telling you the male is the biggest, burliest brute I've ever seen passed off as a German Shepherd Dog. I would be amazed to learn this monster was all Shepherd. And you should see him when anyone walks by, even on the other side of the street. He literally hurls his entire body against the gate. Slams against it sideways.
Oh, I forgot to add, they saved a male from the last litter and, you guessed it, this seven month old male is running in the back yard with the sire, dam and new litter of ten. Shit.

These would be the dimwit pet breeders I so often refer to. These are the ones that give PETA their fuel for the fire so to speak.

i'e mentioned it before, but a good book on animal rights extremists is "the hijacking of the humane movement: animal extremism". it is by patti and rod strand. it can be found on amazon, but it has gotten expensive (it is out of print), at about $40 for a paperback. i really wish an updated version would be published. my uncle, who had a champion rottie, advised me to get it. i've had two copies and they have both disappeared (i HATE loaning books!!)if people agree with PETA then they have that right of course, but i think most people don't look into them very closely. i helped a friend out recently with info on them because her 14 yr old daughter was sending them money and, being a teenager, she wouldn't listen to her mom, but she listened to me and read the info i printed out for her. i really wish some big celebrities would endorse the other side, but PETA is pretty vicious if you publicly disagree. extremists of any sort make the rest of us suffer.
