I'm in the same category as bsceltic - my dogs go in for the xrays and get the full monty - chipped and tattoo'd. If they're already under, we do the whole mess. My vet and I fill out the papers together, which is something that OFA certainly can't prevent. I'm curious to see what happens when I take my young boy in...

It is a great idea and yes DNA would be great but a Vet can't check the DNA upon visit for an xray so that is useless in this instance. It is good to be sure the tattoo & chip are both associated with the DNA on your dog though so it can not be questioned later.
