                                                                   #1 If a a officer comes to my door and demands to see my dog to destroy it  A, he better have a court document   B, he better have some backup C, he better be better armed then me (doughtful)  D, he better be a better shot then me (not probable) .

 Even if the dog had a history without legal court documentation my comment would be kiss my ass and close the door. Obviously the people arent very smart in the first place or there is a history of problems we arent getting the full story on, but if he demanded the dog or else, it would be or else and see me on national news at 6:30.

People are stupid this officer is a idiot plain and simple and if his sherriff backs him up he is a idiot...

Bob,  Its called consent.  These jack ass owner allowed this to happened.  You are right, the owners could of close the door absent a warrant.  You only know what the media wants you to know.  Maybe there was someone actually bitten by this dog.  The owner stated, "Not that I am aware".  Maybe this is the Department's SOP.  Who knows? I don't care if the people had a green card, blue card, pink card, or american express card.  If they own a dog they are responsible for it's life.  Someone comes to the door and demands they bring their own dog out of their own home and let them shoot it because of an unproven rumor that it bit someone - they should have said "see you later when you come back with your warrant and your proof" - or "see you in court then, bye bye" - noone has a right to come to your door and tell you they are going to kill your dog, take your stereo, drive away in your car, or do anything to anything you own, rent or possess.  Period.  The owners are at fault here too - idiots, all of them.

wc, I dont think the owners knew the jack off officer was going to shoot the dog. You try to trust police officers. He shot the dog and drove away. What was an unarmed, Hispanic suppose to do? Attack the cop with his fists?  Our Country is going down hill. The dollar will soon be worthless. Our economy is going down hill. So lets blame illegals for everything. Even when a police officer steps out of bounds.

Ive called it over 3 years now...dollar demise, war & occupation with No end in sight that is costing fortunes, Illegal invasion, Subprime disaster,  & polticians that dont give a damn, save Ron Paul, Gravel and a few others.

I dont really blame the dog owner. Im sure he wasnt happy, but take on a sheriff?  Not many will, certainly not green card aliens.

Sheriff has been Exposed, and sadly there are too many like him. I know there are great cops, but training  (ADL sponsored) & screening is very poor these days.    Im glad, a few people still have balls.  We will need it when the time comes, & the Govt , who is slowly stripping the Consitution  & our Rights, will need to be Challenged and people like Sheriff, will come to our doors.   I dont Care if they wear camo or Blue, they will be dealt with Severely, when coming for our Arms or shooting pets.

 I 'll recommend a Night Scope,  lots of ammo, an SKS or AK 47 (7.62 x 39) , a Remington 700 Bolt  308/ 30-06 & some food  & medical supplies kept safely.  Gold & solver is a fine investment now, along with Euros, Swiss Franc, Yen, Juan & overseas investments or funds.    We are in a Financial mess, but I  think they will slowly tank it.   OPEC will eventually  no longer accept US Dollars & then it is the Weimar Republic,  where people literally burned dollars as it was cheaper than firewood,  $ value was nothing.  I do eventually foresee this here, all engineered.        Ya''ll Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

barney fife,  save your little saying for someone else. being in the military i KNOW what sacrifices are. i have been deployed for both of my daughters births, had my friends killed by religous freaks, and lived through enough IED's on my own to write a book.  you sounded like a babling fool right there! skinheads and tweakers? where did you get your badge? a cracker jack box.

ugly, like you, i own a small arsenal myself. if it ever came down to it. foes will be hard pressed to get within 1/4 mile of my family and friends. thanks to uncle sams training and my wife letting me buy all my toys .
