Nice dog.  Are the strips in the ears in this pic?  Can't see them.

hope the pics help...i was also told by vet .. that it is important to tape before there is a crease.. and she(vet0 said no crease was formed .. which is a good thing..

i mentioned the foam to her as well she siad she preferred strips..fo rme .. i just felt safer dong the strips..and is pretty big.. even if it fell.. i dont see how would lodge in ear.. one shake and would go flying.. as far as how i atteched it.. i took 4 band aids.. cut  out the non stick center.. and attached to ear.. i found the adhesive on the nose strip was not strong enough.. what i like most was.. how he left it alone.. with the tape and gauze.. he scratched at it or shook his head  til it was misformed or completely off.. again.. just worked for me. and hope it helps

"Skin Bond" surgical glue. Same stuff they use to attach stoma bags to human patients, available at any good surgical supply store for about $10. Let the glue get tacky on the roller, then place foam roller in the ear and squeeze ear till surfaces connect. Wrap with  a 5" strip of 1" Waterproof adhesive tape about halfway down the ear.

I think the dog in the pix's ear might come up anyway, especially if there is no crease, the ear is up some of the time, and looking at those big feet he hasn't yet grown into. But it makes US feel better to tape them and the roller thing doesn't bother the dog any. Ha ha ha.

Below: My Banjo's ears at 6.5 mos. By 8 mos. they were perfect. Sorry, can't find a picture.

You're talking about Breathe Right nasal strips, which athletes love to use.  Also it's meant alot for snoring.

The glue is hardly anything; they're made to peel off easily.  They're certainly not worse to get off than Band-Aids.  But I wonder if they're really effective being that ears, even the leathers far out, tend to get "waxy".

Interesting idea, in any case.  As far as it getting in the ear canal - I think they're too big to do much damage if they did.  They probably wouldn't make it very far without your being able to still get to the outer end and pull it out.

You're welcome. I miss Banjo, but an older, retired man who was all alone in the country having lost his wife needed him more than I did, so he's living the good life as a couch potato and hiking buddy in North-Central PA now.

:)))
