Mirasmom,  Thank you so much I really do like Bana.  I have until I visit the litter to pick a name.  My husband likes Birke my kids and I are in favor of Bana, so I think the kids and I will win and her name will end up being Bana.  Ninja181, Thank you so much for your kind words.  With my excitement level I am sure that it will seem like an eternity before we receive our puppy.  I am counting down the days until we see her, on our first visit to the kennel,  39 days and counting.  I have never been asked that before, I would have to ask my husband that question, the name came with the marriage. Good luck Shelly S. with your soon to be new addition.  I want to thank everyone who has contacted me through IMs and on this post, wishing us luck on our new addition and sending us congratulations on selecting an excellent breeding.

I just checked out the link in the first post. I'm sure you will be delighted with a Betty x Nanno puppy. I have had Arolser Holz dogs for years, nearly bought Betty when I bought Gabi a year and a half ago, now wish I had done so. Actually, I may buy one of Betty's daughters in the end if Horst will let me have one. Nanno is very closely related to my Carol, same father, going to W litter Arolser Holz/Marc Herkulesblick through Wanni. My great old dog Pallo was a full brother to Wanni.

You may expect a really good looking dog, (probably "V" in conformation) a fine mover with excellent nerves, very good drives for the work but not so nuts a novice can't handle, VERY trainable. Longevity is another plus in this line. Grandpa Barras was 2-3x V in the BSZS, produced LOTS of fine V-rated working dogs! Betty produced a black and brown dog named Fine who was the prettiest working pup I have ever laid eyes on. I think she is still in Horst's kennel, but maybe someday... ;)

Good luck with you new puppy,

SS
