From my boarding-kennel experience (LOTS of labs of every color) - the yellows are the hyper-active, non-stop nuisance barking, destructive (ie rip up mats and blankets, dig in water buckets, try to rip holes in fencing or dig under) and overall "oh no not another yellow lab" experience in my kennel.  Can't stand them - with few exceptions.  Of course they all have nice even temperaments and are never aggressive nor dog aggressive - the only nice thing about them IMO.  Blacks are high-energy but not hyperactive - they IMO are more of the working-dog type, wanna DO something now, strong (drag owner whereever you want to go) but very trainable (unfortunately most owners don't bother training them) - nice dogs but not for the "average" pet home, very nice temperament and not always dog-friendly.  Chocolates are sweet, quiet but as someone said - not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Awwwe....what an absolutely precious video.

And, what a super tempered dog to just lie there and be so lovey-dovey.  No matter what I want my dogs to do, being this way with my children is tops.

I love how the dog follows the little boy around.
