Ya, I was scammed already for 3,500.00 cash wire transfer western union and never seen the dog or heard from dude again. It's like piss through a tin horn in high wind. What I felt like doing is flying over there right away and showin'  him a country ass woopin'. Police wouldn't do a thing except arrange me an escort, like I needed one being that mad.

Ohhh ya, his name is Peter Goldstein aka Emanuel Kojo Yankah.. So, don't ever do business with this con. He has a buddy too named Dury Young aka John Cuedez they sell GSD and Malinois. Bastards.

I actually have 2 checks from these scam artist.  Even after I told them I would not sell them a pup, they still sent money, and continued to hound me.  Until I finally told them that I had handed the checks over to our local police department and FBI office.  It's funny how that seem to scare them off.  However, unfortunatley, there are con-artist and scammers even within the GSD world.  people who falsify papers, people faking DNA test, cross-breed dogs and don't tell people, people who steal other people's dogs....the list goes on and on.  And it is to the point that you can't really trust anyone outside your own little "circle" anymore.

It's a shame and a disgrace to the GSD world!

Wow!  BabyEagle, that's harsh.  I hope that people get the message... wire transfers for money are NOT secure!

Agar, I like the VISA idea.  At least that is a traceable transaction.  I understand that people have the right to privacy, but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing business with someone who is trying to "fly under radar".  Thanks but NO THANKS.  There's a lot of good breeders in the US of A who are producing decent dogs that will still put out a welcome mat to someone who wants to see what they are buying, and from who.

Good thread!

ladywolf-  yes unfortunately owning my first GSD opened my eyes to a whole new world of things I would have never guessed could, would or have happend to people.  I've heard of dogs getting shipped with one testicle, one ear, dogs not being shipped at all and money already exchanged, I've even heard several people being duped into sending their dogs to someone for "training" and either having to be escorted with police to get their dog back or having it returned a total mess.  Some very good people told me early on be careful who you train with, be careful who works your dog and be very cautious who you do business with.  Best advice anyone could have given me because it's made me suspicious of everyone.

Babyeagle- OMG, that's beyond terrible.  I bet you would have been at least satisfied with a dog coming to you with one testicle?? lol  At least you would have gotten something.  Good grief!  That's a very expensive lesson learned and unfortunately there isn't anything police can do realistically because you'd have to actually be able to locate the person to proceed with a "theft by deception" type of charge.  The bank teller even told me of cases that people have sent wire transfers, seller goes the next day withdrawls the money and closes the account.  Period end of story no one can find them or the money.  If I can't buy with VISA then the only way I'm ever sending anyone $$ is if I get the merchandise 1st.  Just like they'd expect me to "trust" them then if that is how they wish to do business they'll have to just "trust" me.  Goes both ways or at least it should.  Fortunately I have just received my bitch today- she's everything I expected, transaction took place via pay pal, shipping arrangements were very prompt and painless.  Since now I am at full total maximum capacity I trust that I will not have to worry about buying or shipping any more dogs for a long long time.
