For some folks this is the only life they have. Most of the real world ignores them and they have a captive audience here.

Sorry, Guys I was cut off, the Dept list was too long and I couldnt make my point. There are many more depts not even listed.

I wanted to ask any cops on the board who could validate the point & offer an explanation into this... thats all, not exactly GSD related so I apologize but dont really know of another cop web forum board.  Why is Blackwater, a privatizied  professional militia, currently facing legal scrutiny for various massacres in Iraq,  training many state police Depts here in the USA?

Blackwater Training US Police

Blackwater is also planning to establish regional training centers in Potrero, California and Mount Carroll, Illinois, billed as Blackwater West and Blackwater North, respectively.

These training centers, in addition to Blackwater's Lodge and Training Center in Moyock, North Carolina -- Blackwater East -- and a possible fourth rumored to be slated for the Pacific Northwest -- Blackwater Northwest -- may result in the establishment of a network of Blackwater-trained police, sheriffs, and other police units around the country.

Given Blackwater's Dismal record on Human rights and Brutality, this spells trouble for civilian control of police and paramilitary forces in the United States, from major metropolitan areas to small rural towns.

So US police officers who have been trained in Blackwater techniques will transition from "Protect and serve" to "Kill them All, God will find his own", I take it.

Here are some of the courses offered to local Police departments..again just looking for input, not trying to use bandwidth

Uglydog

I watched the 60Minutes Blackwater piece too.  What is your point?

You need to find a girlfriend or a stack of porn!

You are a repeat offender of posting non-dog, controversial topics.  And don't give me the "if you don't like it, don't read it" B.S.  There is a time and place to discuss everything.  Although this is exactly the time for this topic, it is not the place.  There are messageboards for everything.  Go find one that is relevant to your post.  If you really want to know about these departments training with Blackwater, why don't you cut the chase and contact them directly.

The people who work for Blackwater? Many of them are former soldiers who like working for Blackwater because they get better pay and don't have to deal with as much silly bureaucracy. Moreover, what they're doing in Iraq is admirable. They're killing bad guys, taking some of the pressure off of our troops, and helping America and the Iraqi government to move towards victory.

So,why do people like uglydog and the liberal media despise people who work for Blackwater? Well, I'm thinking the truth is that they don't look at them much differently than our troops, but it's very politically unpopular to attack the military. So, they can vent the spleen they feel towards our troops on the former soldiers who work at Blackwater, and not pay a political price for it. That explains much, but not all, of the criticism that you hear of Blackwater: they're a stand-in "hate object" for the military that liberals can get away with attacking.

That's all I have to say about that
