Sparrow, that's great, and he's just a youngster!!!

He's got a big career ahead of him!

I've gotten CD's on dogs, but I'm going to try to get some Rally titles, they are
more fun, cause you can talk to your dog & keep him on a leash, how
easy is that!!!

My Theo has his CGC & therapy dog, but I'm not doing bitework
with him, just obedience, cause he was given back to
me at 7 months, the lady was getting a divorce & her
husband mistreated Theo, people taking their frustrations
out on innocent animals really pisses me off..................................

Anyway, you are off to an early start, that's means ALOT!!!!

This is copied from Delta Society's requirements:

Prerequisites for the Animal

  • All animals except birds must have lived in the owner's home for at least 6 months. Birds must have lived in the owner's home for at least 1 year.
  • All animals except "pocket pets" must be at least 1 year at the time the animal is evaluated. Pocket pets (e.g., guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, etc.) must be at least 6 months at the time the animal is evaluated.
  • Dogs trained to aggressively protect and/or encouraged to actively bite, even as a component of a dog sport (e.g., bite work that is part of Schutzhund) may not be Pet Partners.

I've looked up different programs and some allow dogs with Sch titles to be part of the program but NOT Delta Society

I apologize.  I was thinking of THERAPY DOGS.  If you go on to be a therapy dog thru Delta they cannot do bite work.  CGC says nothing about bite work.  Sorry for the confusion on my part.

No need for an apology, that's what I was asking.  CGC is pretty much a prerequisite to TDI.  I do plan to get his TDI and possibly do therapy work, that's why I was asking.  Delta must have more stringent criteria, according to the tester, TDI does not have that same requirement, thank you for the clarification!

Actually, they tested Drake to the some TDI, it was late, everyone was tired, but the hospital equipment is not part of the CGC and they put him through it.  But, he passed anyway so I'm not complaining.
