Okay, at the risk of sounding REALLY corny, am I the only person who when giving a dog it's first real taste of raw, gets a look from the dog like "where have you been my whole life?"

All three of mine eat in the kitchen in different corners. They are fed out of very large professional stainless steel bowls. My older bitch actually puts her paw in the dish to hold in steady. Ocassionally, I will feed out side but they re more comfortable in the house.

The routine is the dogs lay down as they finish, then when all are done they are given the release command to check out each others dishes.

Note: Male always finishes frst, older female then young femals

NO, mine looked at me like WTF is this and do I eat it? Took him 15 minutes to eat his first RAW meal. I am glad he savers it and chews well, most of the time anyway. He was so used to inhaling his kibble in 5 seconds, I was pleased with the change. He has never lived with another dog or had to fight for food since he has been here, so not sure what the big rush always was. I do know he was the dominant littermate and kicked everyone to the side to get as much food as he wanted. Quite the little pig when it comes to his grub. Could explain why he was wider than he was tall when he got here.

I always feed in kennel   outside on the floor of kennel   dont use bowls     a Ledda thing....and in house   put bowl in kennel and they eat it so fast I take a double take....one male is slow about his raw...he actually is show line and doesnt have food drive..or ball drive either....dont ask me why I have him......I bought him because I liked his dark deep red /black look and big eyes and he was the only thing I could afford out of a million dollar mansion in Dallas , Texas.....they had him tied to the back patio pole and wouldnt let him eat or poop or walk in or on their mansion lawn   ./ they took him on leash out to road and park about 5oo yards from house.....they wanted him gone as to sell their mansion.....so I bought him  and they handed me a bag of dog food , his akc papers and didnt say love ya or by or kiss him and to make things worse,,,he didnt know what a ball was, a kong or a tug rope......I was horrified that someone would treat a very pedigreed dog ,with high european show lines. one being Timo de la Serena , in it...and made me furious....I wanted to drive my truck , by accident ,of course ,right accross the hightly manicured front lawn ,when I left....

He has come a long way,,,but doesnt have drive of anykind ...just a big over stuffed and highly lovable german shepherd , that likes inside , rather than outside...
