There does seem to be quite a bit of selective spanking on this board.

Bazi is register to show at the NASS again this year but still not sure if i will be able to get him there in time as he is currently in Germany.

We are hoping to be there but it  may very well may turn out that we are not as I will be just finishing up the WUSV competition in Slovakia with one of my working dogs (Carlo von der Bosen Bruderschaft), therefore, it is a lot of flying around with dogs etc and not as easy to do as I sometimes like to think.

Personally based on Bazi's current condition he should be able to obtan the Seiger again this year as he has been in training for the past 6 months with a new trainer that has done a wonderful job in developing his condition as he has grown. we were very pleased with his V6 placing in Germany at the 2007 Seiger show and with continued training we think he has the ability to succesfully continue his career and increase his placings in future  competitions.

Meanwhile, regardless if Bazi attends or not we hope that a lot of great dogs are entered and that this years show is equally as successful as last years.

the more dogs the better as it is great seeing dogs from all over at this event.

Good luck to all the dogs entered an especially TJ as he needs a good break after Germany as he is still a great dog and no one day event can sum him up. There are fighters that lose a fight but are still great fighters. that is why we call it 'Dog Sport". some days you win and some days you lose

We all need more encouragment and less spitefull , useless bashing .

Again, Good Luck to All !

Jeffrey

Seems always to be alot of frenzy before and after the shows.  Then the whole thing blows over and peace is back and the negativity although leaving a  bad after taste, never amounts to more than a hill of beans.  This is an event that showcases some of the best dogs bred in or imported into North America.  The actual show itself is usually a great event and with the amount of entries this year promises to bring in lots of great dogs and breeders.

For many it has required many hours of training and conditioning their dogs just to showcase them in St. Louis.   I am really excited and so happy that I can attend again this year again with my dog.   How quickly a year passes!  Sieger is a wonderful thing.  But there are the hobby people too, such as myself that are packing their prized house pet into the van and driving the 12 hours to St. Louis to showcase their pride and joy.  And in this respect, I agree with Jeffrey that we need more encouragement.

Good luck to all and safe travels to and from the venue!

Sunshine,  your dog, Galaxy, is hardly just a house pet. As far as I know he's one of the very few living HGH/SchIII dual titled GSD's in the US and the first Am bred, owned, trained  and titled here in the US to ever compete in the HGH class at the German Sieger.  He's made history. You are far too modest when you speak of this great dog.  We should all have such a house pet .

I hope this doesn't embarass you , I know  you prefer to keep a low profile, but I can't keep  my mouth shut when it comes to bragging about that dog. I wish I could be at NASS this year to cheer him on. I just love a good Am bred GSD .

Sunshine

what's Galaxy's full name.

tell us about him

by Blitzen on 23 September 2007 - 01:09

Thanks for asking her that question, Jeffrey. She's so modest about this dog. She might not read this for a day or 2, but I'm going to PM her and encourage her to do a little bragging about him.

Jeffrey,

Thank you for inquiring about my boy.  These are kind of the highlights but I have shown Galaxy since he was a 4 month old pup.  I purchased Galaxy von Ajaye in 2003 as an 8 week old puppy from an American breeder that no longer breeds GSDs.  He was the first puppy I raised.  I previously adopted older dogs that came out of rescue.  In September 2005, he obtained his HGH title in New Jersey.  In 2006, he was shown in the HGH class at the German Siegershow and became Vice Sieger.  He was "der Hund aus Amerika".  He came home in the Fall of 2006 after completing his SchH3 and obtained his V rating at NASS 2006.  In March 2007, Galaxy became the Sieger at the USA South Central Regional show.  All of his achievements, without a kennel name of note, an owner of note or "politics" in his favor.  Last but not least Jeffrey, Galaxy saved my life.  This is his pedigree:  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/395482.html

Blitzen, Thank you for your kind words and moral support.  I am not so much embarassed with Galy's achievements but it is very difficult for me to say anything about this dog without exhibiting my deep love and affection for this animal.  And that is for me kind embarassing. I feel as though having Galaxy in my life is like winning the Lottery.  I had an awful lot of luck in having such a good dog for being a novice.

Hope to see you all in St. Louis.

You're welcome, Sunshine. Galy was born to be a good dog,  but he needed you to make him into a great dog and then he repaid you in a way that few of us will ever experience or understand.

it s simple, wilendorf is a comercial enterprise, he can not afford to have anyone look at a site like this and hear or see anything that can affect business

is this good for the gsd as a breed/
