Structurally a roach back is inefficient and lacks flexibility.  Roach backs are great for throwing dogs on their forehand and making them pull.  Its really sad to see a wonderful breed like the GSD being bred like this.  They were never designed to have roach backs

The German Ghepherd was bred to herd But i don't see how the roach back dogs can do that work the german showpeople keep putting down the American Bred Dogs because they can't work But looks like to me the german showline bred dog are going down the same road.

It's tragic for a breed which was created to fulfill a job and to "work" to be bred merely for show purposes. I say it's damn near sacrilegious.
