I like Pete's post better, but I have to agree with Hank's! LOL!

Thank you, Hank, but I would never even dream of having the kind of impact Jiri has. I admit, I don't have the heart or stomach for it; I have to put each and every one of them in the best home...and when you're that picky, you can't breed on a big enough scale to make a difference. It's a catch 22, I know, and I honestly wish I were wired differently, because I feel like I could actually make a positive impact on the breed, maybe, if I could lighten up a little...but I'm too much of a control freak to ever be more than what most would call a hobby breeder, though dogs are my full-time life, hardly a hobby, LOL.

Pete,
I understand that you like your dogs, you should, I sure hope so since you purchased two of them from one breeder. The dogs you have are young.
What makes you think based on your years of experience training dogs that the two, both equally are the top dogs? I am curious because the way you talk about them I will be seing you in Nationals in two - thee years right? or maybe at the PSA match or maybe at the herding trials or somewhere doing something that is going to show the dogs in their full potential.

I am just wondering. I dont know you but I would like you to share this with us. Who knows maybe we will be competing agains each other as I have two dogs in making right now.

Jenn, you are making a difference to the people who get them.

Pete's a good guy and i know what he is saying but GSDPack is right.  The Vom Eisenherz dogs as far as i know have at present only achieved BH tops.  But the oldest ones are barely 2 years old.
I think in about two to three years you may hear some rumblings around the midwest about her dogs once they mature and can compete with the big boys.  I would honestly get another from her if i had
the time to spend and my wife would let me :)

But from what i hear Ajay Singh from Zwinger Vom Patiala, Mike Diehl, and Gabor Szilasi from Von Tajgetosz are doing incredible work and have accomplishments to back it up.

Also Vom Haus Glitzernstern had a very young dog compete at nationals in Iowa recently and came in 6th place i believe in horrible weather.

And after saying this i would still get my next pup from Jenn at Vom Eisenherz from qualities that  i am seeing with my pup that suit me.

Thank you, Hank. That's honestly all I had ever really cared about achieving, and I don't mean that in a lazy sense, like I don't want to achieve more. I just mean that, realistically, my name will never be even close to a GSD household word;-).  When you don't breed on a large scale, you are not going to make a real significant impact on the breed. I'm not into breeding on a large scale (and actually had to be goaded into breeding at all, lol), so that will never happen. I will probably have less than 50 pups ever w/my kennel name, so no, I will never be a big player, nor would I want to be. With every dog I sell, I think it's the last one, as people seem to be getting dumber and dumber about dogs.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the pups that exist thus far, however, as has been pointed out, the A litter vom Eisenherz just turned 2 years old last month! Their dam will probably be retired before the next litter is old enough to be titled, and I'll be done breeding after that.

Jennie that is the screwy part of breeding, you dont know what you produce till later. Like 8 years later.. I say, 3 generations. it takes three generations to find out.

So lets see what happens, I sure hope you still be ahppy with what comes out of your gate as much as you are happy now.

Cheers

Haha, I did not finish reading. well sorry to hear that you will be almost done by the time your kids have accomplished something.
I remember my first dog that did ZVV2 I was the proudest teen momma.
