Good news 4 1/2 hours is not bad you should be fine. Walk her around outside that helps the peroxide work.

Glad you got your vet on the phone. She will probably get some IVF.

Please let us know what happens.

Don't panic!  It's not the sort of thing that it's guaranteed to be toxic either.  How did the inducing of vomit go.  The vet might also use activated charcoal as well.

I got a call at work from my husband saying Nessa ate that RX vial of Deramaxx.  There were at least 20 100 mg tablets in there.  OY!!  Telling the hubby to induce vomiting over the phone with peroxide was fun!  Don't think she ever vomited either.  :)  Then there was also another dog that was loose in the house with her.  Now, pretty sure that it wasn't him, but had to treat him just in case, though not as intensive.

The kind doctor that I work for suggested that I put them on fluids at home, give her activated charcoal.  Lucky for me, I can do that!  Then carted her back and forth to work with me for two days.  Had to check bloodwork everyday.  It cost several hundred dollars and that was with my employee discount.  But, she's fine now, never lost her appetite and only had diarrhea once.  With her loose, we have to be so careful, as anything that is edible she will eat.  She's got  cast iron gut though apparently.

My vet said raisin toxicity acts more like an allergy than other toxic foods. This is why my mom's Springer got away with eating a large bowl of grapes with no ill effects, while other dogs can be killed by as little as 7 raisins!

Chocolate, however, is toxic to ALL dogs.

How did the vomiting go?

If this were my dog she would be at the vet ER.  This is nothing to mess around with or to be treated at home.  She needs her kidneys flushed out with IV fluids at the very least

PSP, please read Shandra's posts. She couldn't get hold of a vet when she first posted, but has since gotten through to her regular vet:

I forgot I had my vets cell number.Just called himi,. he said peroxide, 1/4 c every 15 minutes til she vomits. She hasnt vomited yet. I have been gone since 1 this afternoon, its 5:30. I didnt see the raisin container when I got home and fed her a usual, she ate fine. Then I went into my room and found the container, Its the large 4 cup container. She ate about 1/3 of it. What made me realise something was up, she is drinking extrodinary amounts of water. My vet is on his way back to this area and will meet me at the office.
