"Personally I love long coats and am never unhappy when I see them in my litter, typically they are the first to sell and the ones that are always carried around and cuddled the most."

This is a from the Bullinger Shepherds website --

Again have a great day!!

My foundation AKC female (born in 1965) was a longcoat who completed her UD at 13 months an her TD only a few months later--after only six weeks of training. I was a naive novice and didn't know any better--so, I bred her to my AKC  male who was a breed champion and UDT (a great dog who also produced herding and SAR dogs--and at least, one police service dog).

However, over the years, people have liked to breed to several of my studs (both AKC and German) who did not carry the longcoat factor.

BTW, the first dog I schutzhund titled was also a Therapy Dog as well as trained in AKC obedience and herding!

I almost bought a pup from Omega until I asked why they didn't xray hips and the answer was that if the pups came from good stock there was no need to xray anything.  Case closed.

Thank you yellowrose!  I am not a member though but maybe I can ask the office anyway.  If not, I may be hunting for members who would be willing to do that for me :)

My pup is not coming from Omega, He is coming from Highlander Shepherds, where her dogs are OFA'ed and then some. I feel totally confident that I am getting a great dog from Alisia, His pedigree says quite abit for WHERE, and whom he's out of, than add a responsible breeder on top, and what else could you ask for?

Louise, I am still wondering why you say your dog is UNFORTUNATLY, out of the same line as mine!  He is titled, V rated, and breed surveyed, What, because he has long coat in his pedigree? Have you not seen the list of long coat carriers? There are plenty who carry for coat. Maybe those who adhere to strict standard don't admit, but as the makers of Prego spagheti sauce say,, "It's in There!!!!"

As for Omega Shepherds, why would they buy 3 pups (Gunther and 2 females) from the same Ursus litter? Don't know what finally became of the 2 bitches except that they were bred several times. A friend traveling through Montana visited the kennels and took videos (which I still have) of these siblings.

While he may have excellent temperament, Gunther does not does not have ideal structure, is oversized, and has very faulty tail carriage. Omega used to misrepresent their intentions and advertised that Gunther was being trained for his schutzhund titles.

I find it disappointing because I have a great affection for this "dog family". I saw this entire Ursus litter (no long coats) when they were 8 weeks old. I know that I did everything to fulfill his breeder's expectations of me by showing, training, titling, and breed surveying my male, Geronimo, from this Ursus litter. Brother Gorbi is also titled and is an excellent representative of the breed. Furthermore, I owned and titled the sire of the dam of  this "G" litter.

Sorry about that but I MiS CLICKED,,

But again I ask, What does OMEGA shepherds have to do with me, i have no idea what they do, or why they do it! I don't even know, or care who THEY ARE. ALSO, What does Highlander Shepherds have to do with OMEGA,I don't Believe they are in "COHOOTS" with each other, The Pedigree of my pup, and Highlander pups , I believe speak volumes for the dogs, as to who they are .

IF NOT, WHAT IS THE SENSE OF THE PEDIGREE database and heritage of a dog???

A specific kennel does not make up What a Dog is made of, or am I wrong?

Is a dog represernative of the kennel it came from???If so, why bother to know the lineage of a specific dog?? A dog is what you make him.I guess the database means nothing.

You seem a little Hypocritical in your logic.

It is not my fault, nor Highlander Shepherds fault if you were scammed or defrauded by Omega, but don't take away from my new pup because you didn't get what you wanted.

And as far as OVERSIZED, I'll showyou oversized.

I was promised a 350lb. cat and this is what I got(next post)

I've never had anything to do with Omega Shepherds--period.

No offence but that handler on the Shutzhund mag needs to learn to stand a dog correctly. Talk about rocking horse or what..;-)
