If your pup is showing signs of a problem with it's joints, I believe they will do a xray upon request! At least my vet did. Found that her leg had been fractured at the breeders, and she was never treated and it healed wrong and was creating problems for her. While they did that xray, they all did the hips to see how they were. I believe she was 4 months at the time. Any way, they said they usually don't do the xrays that young unless they see a problem. Wouldn't hurt to ask anyway!

Based on the following link regarding potentially viral indications in PANO : http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&cat=1561&articleid=466 I would add Collodial Silver (anit viral) to your to do list.
The benefits from this mineral are extensive. See: http://www.herbalremedies.com/readmorabcol.html
I also feed Royal Canin 24 but I do 50/50 with raw meat also. Check out the BARF diet: http://www.barfproducts.com/catalogs.htm
Hope your boy gets better soon.

according to the last news of orthopaedics it should becomes the
examination of 3 months and then 5 months for hip dysplasia and you can anticipate also some intervention but for mine opinion you have to minimised the quantity of proteins and searches for a vet drug that is called CANIVITON it makes very good in the cartilages

"Hi had a 5 month old pup with a limp and a lump on his elbow the size of an egg. I took him to a specialist who said it was E.D."
My late dog Otto developed an egg-sized lump on his elbow at around 8 months. Turned out it was fluid in the bursa sack surrounded the elbow. Suspected cause was the way he used to slam himself into the ground when told to down - the dog would basically throw his front legs out and drop.
The vet put in a drain, which Otto managed to remove within a few days. The vet wanted to put in another drain, but I declined on the basis that Otto would just yank that one out too as soon as my back was turned. The fluid in the bursa eventually went down over the course of several weeks with no lingering effects. He did have one recurrence of that same elbow swelling at around 9 years of age, but that swelling went away on its own too.

when my dog was this age he grew to fast and became lame, I was told to only take him for 3 short walks a day on lead and the rest of the time limit his activity in the garden, also to change his food to one with lower protein,I kept him busy with training in the house and playing roll the ball back and forth "me to him, him to me " within a month he was fine.

Does anyone feel that giving him glucosamine & chondroitin supplements at this young of an age could be harmful to his joint growth/conformation?
