Yes Marci, and more so data should not be misrepresented constantly. Winner and Vegas would not have had any offspring eligible for a-stamps for example til March and April of this year. Give a month or so for people to get around to it, another month or so for certification. Then it takes several months for any results to get published. So even with the biggest rush on this there would be no data available on the offspring from these males yet by July 1st, the issue date of the most current genetics. Several others have plenty of offspring that is not eligible for a-stamps yet as well. Lets take Odin. I only have last quarters database to go by. Back then he had 3 pups that had been a-stamped out of a possible 29 that were eligible at that time, the rest was not. So the witch hunt continues. And not really surprising how single minded it is. I wonder if Jantie sees something interesting when he looks his figures over again but he was too 'focused' to take notice...

Also, Pakros has about 70% of the offspring that has been x-rayed come back with a1. Roughly 40% of his offspring that is eligible for a-stamps has been certified. That is not bad, a little higher than the average number of pups that usually get certified, but for such a high profile dog lower than it used to be in the past - closer to 45-50% of the offspring screened was more common for popular studs. Which leads to a thought I would like to add to this thread for people to mull over: I have noticed in the last couple of years that several of the top males have a lower a-stamp submission rate than it used to. I assume that would be because of the ever increasing number of pups that get sold overseas and will therefore not get a-stamped. The ever increasing numbers of breedings to foreign owned bitches mirror that trend. Which is very unfortunate, as it keeps a lot of valuable data from breeders. So get your pups a-stamped folks!! Even if you are not in Germany.

Videx, interesting predictions. What would they be if Quenn and Orbit will not show? That is my prediction. A Zamp son will go VA, I wonder if it will be Winner though. I think there may be some interesting results at this years show. I just wish all the dogs and their owners a great event.

Hi,

my predictions, assuming no Zamp or Quantum shown:

Pakros VA1

Odin VA2

Vegas VA3

then in no particular order - Idol, Dux, Quenn, Quantum F, Orbit, and possibly Negus as the Zamp representative, otherwise he'll be a high V.

High V's  in no order - Yerom, Nexus, Ilbo, Digger, Djenges, Winner, Yanos, Xitus, Uran Wilhemswarte, Yanox, Yimmy

That's my top 20 prediction for the boys.

Cant wait to see them in action

Good luck to everyone exhibiting.

Silbersee writes: What about Dux, David?

I am informed that Dux apparently has a slight  ‘limp’ caused by an accident which damaged his knee ligament, it was operated on to repair, but he still shows some discomfort. I am also informed he will not be at the Sieger Show 2007. I emphasise this was NOT a genetic problem, simply a tragic accident.

Dux still has given much to the breed, and I am sure he will continue to produce outstanding progeny.

Dux was strongly tipped for Vice-Sieger by many, and for Sieger by some at the 2007 Sieger Show

It is very sad for his Show career to end like this.

Heather... I think Pakros and Vegas wont be next to each other...the S.V. has a habit of putting the next generation upto VA-4 ( I heard of this issue because they're still considered underSTUDies) And they don't want the next gen... to be going outside of Germany immediately (say the next VA-1 will end up in China...)untill he has produced well in the fatherland... most nextgen GENEPOOLS are coming out from VA-4...And I would like to see Bravos Steffenhaus also on the list...
