3 shepherds and a couple of pet dogs. I've got Cyrano who is 1.5y and hopefully my next competition dog, we're working on it. Kaos who LOVES personal protection and will put up with obedience and while he'll title and get worked, won't be my competition dog really, just my protection house dog....and 3 month old Hawk who will be handled by my mother. Two big boys are inside/outside....pup is crated or in the yard with me at the moment as he likes to eat EVERYTHING:-)

I have three GSDs living in my house.

Libby is my 10 year old retired SchH dog.  Then I have her daughter Brat who is my current 5 year old SchH dog.  Then I have a Brat daughter Drama who is almost 8 months old and my up and coming SchH dog.  All three are 24/7 house dogs.

We also have a 1 1/2 year old Pug, he is actually my hubby's constant companion but gets along wonderfully with the GSD girls.

I do co own one other female GSD, but she lives with her handler/co owner in another state.

I currently have 2 GSDs.  Sadie, who is 8, a combo of work/show lines.  CGC, HIT, BH  And then there is Nashoba who is 2 1/2 .  So far his only claim to fame is he was prelimed Good.  He is working/DDR lines.  They are both inside/outside.  They have a doggy door opening into over 1/4 acre.  I also have a 14 yr old rescue cat which is a GSD in disguise. I have nine female dogs currently, no boys.  Six are with me in Anchorage, three are in Europe, either being trained or waiting to be bred.

I plan to retire one or even two dogs this winter to a home where they can have one on one attention, and I will probably sell a young dog, already well started in all three phases in Schutzhund.  So after I do that, I will be back down to six.

My main thing is Schutzhund, but we do other things that are recreational, though not as often as I would like, as I would like to do much more than I have been lately.  I purchased a dog sled so that I can start exercising all the dogs at once this winter and wear them out to happy exhaustion. It's easier and more fun for me to mush than to go skijoring (A dog or three in harness pulling a person on skiis).

I usually skijor with two dogs--- more bang for the buck :-) I didn't skijor much last year.  One of the reasons is that I got discouraged because of all the off leash dogs on the multipurpose trails who either started a fight with mine, or run up and suddenly stop them, so that I have "crash and burned" pretty seriously while going along at a good clip.

I asked the Dave, of Laughing Huskies, dog sled builder, about slowing down my team when we go mushing....his response was that he'd never met anyone concerned with making their team slow down, all the other mushers want to go faster!

I guess I am breaking new ground in training dogs that are supposed to run slower! LOL.

Interestingly enough, the mushers I have met were excited at the thought of seeing me mushing a team of European working-bred GSDs, exclaiming at how strong and fast the dogs would be, and then they were very disapointed that I was not interested in racing.  That acceptance from experienced racing mushers made me feel very good, you don't always see that acceptance in dog sports.
