First they will put you and your pup in a introductory meet every one and socialize your puppy for several visits....when you get to the place, go straight to the head person, intoduce you and your pup....If the questions start, where and what bloodline, offer only little as possible...You do not need your pedigree until you get down the road toward title day...

I was told of the embarrassing situations that pedigrees get people into  ,,,The minute you turn your back, the night I visited one club , and a new lady, not me, was there, the minute she showed them here pedigree on the hood of her car,,,,,,she walked away, and first reply, was.....oh my God,,,a trash dog,,,part American and she thinks we are gonna waste out time on that....and the conversation got worse...I walked away in disgust and I never went back and Yr couldn't convince me if the moon fell on my head....No thank , you....

so , just get a couple of visits in, and tell them you want some help and you are really interested in Schutzhund...Be advise....read up on it, on the database, and get an idea about what it is all about....if you have a Barnes and Noble...go read or see if they even have the book....The Theory and Methods of Schutzhund  by Susan Barwig and Ray Hiiiiard.......a good book for the beginner.........dont even think about  Ivan;s books yet.....this book is simple and has pictures and tells about what  a pup will do and what you look for in a schutzhund candidate..and what not to do and what to expect.....

Just think,,one day you will look back on the question you ask tonight....do I just go or do I need to be invited..?  You  may be a dog trainer before you know it...

Do not get upset , some clubs are only by invitation, and they arent suppose to be, but they are closed in that way...they decide who joins and you are voted on and are recommended whether to join if they feel your dog will be able to enjoy the sport...They will train you first along with the dog.....
