I forgot to mention Rex is my foster. I will let him settle in and then I will start with working with him. He does have great ball drive and loves to retrieve. I will have him evaluated for schutzhund but not for a while.

Great looking dog....hes a keeper.....There are many homes that have a big break up over a german shepherd....one of the mates is usually not fond of all the hours spent with the dog and its training....wont be the  first nor the last...hope someone in the area will take him and give him a loving home    .....and very Ironic    My Rex , I bought after Mesquite Pd found him tied in a million dollar home for sale , by european people who wouldnt let him potty in yard,,,and they sold him to the Col for me, without so much as a good, bye, Ill miss him and shoved a bag of Iams puppy food in hands and walked back into his mansion and shut the door....Rex is a Timo de la Serena grandson and he had a lot to overcome , being tied on a 5 foot chain on a pation , no water bucket,, no food bowl,,,,and had no muscle tone.....funny both dogs named Rex....mine is blk /red.....the Real Estate agent alerted the pd about this dog...tied to the pole....sad sad sad...

now glad glad glad for me

He is a very good looking boy.  You say he was located in Waukegan, IL?  Well there are a lot of good working line breeders in Northern IL.  You may want to try contacting some of them with the info and pictures, maybe they will recognize the dog or the situation.  You could try; Steve Beal, Bill Kulla, Marty and Julie Saso, Marcy Blank, Dave and Kathy Blank and Steve Miller just to name a few.  Another possibility is TOPS in Grayslake, they import a lot of dogs for K9 and place the ones that wash out with people in the area.  Just a few ideas.  Good luck with your search and especially with your new dog.

Viperk9, All the breeders you mentioned do tattoo all their pups. I may never find out where he came from. All I know he is an AWESOME dog.

What a pretty boy he is.  Looks like I'd guess he's a czech dog???  Best of luck to him and finding his new family.

Rex has found a home. It is with me. He is everything I have been looking for in the last few years. I will be traning him for Schutzhund. He has everything it takes for the sport.

Jetta,

What a gorgeous head on your boy.  Congrats on deciding to keep him.  I'm sure he'll make you proud.
