Steve Lino has been breeding and training dogs for 45 years. Just read his credentials on his site. Everything he says there can be backed up and documented.. It's not exaggerated, he doesn't need to. He did run a L.E. canine training facility down in Sebastian (FL) for many years where he trained entire P.D K-9 depts. dog/handler teams. Not to mention all the dogs he personally trained in the sport for himself and others. There is also the regular obedience training he and his wife still do. So it is entirely possible for him to have trained thousands of dogs during the last 45 years.. Whether you like him or not is irrelevant. His credentials speak for themselves.
And now, here it comes.............. the onslaught of negative crap from the jealous haters............................

Does he title all his own dogs?
by zyp on 19 June 2007 - 02:06
if he has bred so many dogs, why are there none registered under his kennel name?

"the onslaught of negative crap from the jealous haters"
No no no, I just said that is quite a claim. Being involved in the training of dogs and training them personally are two different things.
Consider that a finished dog usually takes at least 4 yrs, multiply that by 10 at a time, 10 dogs if they made the grade over 4 yrs., multiply that by 45.
That's 450 dogs and a huge undertaking for someone, but if you are counting things like teaching a dog to sit , then thousands are within reach.

In some places if you question someone, it's easier to ban you than try to come up with an answer.

ZYP there are dogs under his kennel name, but it seems the spelling of his kennel name has changed over the years or there was another Vom Linmarc at some time. You can look up several dogs from the 80's in the OFA Database other wise I think here you can find two pages of them. Hope that helps. No jealous hating here, just help LOL
And so you know.......

EduCanine The dogs you found are from his father

The dogs Jamie (EDUCANINE) found are Steve's, not his father's. As far as I know, Steve's father was never into GSDs. At one time, back in Steve's beginnings in the breed (1962), he had American show line dogs. He made the shift to imports not too long after that and stayed with them since. His kennel name did change spellings when he left the Am dogs.

Apparently you have not been around to long.I checked with a friend he said he appeared on the Czech/ddr forum with a few mixed dogs. He has not had all ddr bloodlines until a year or so ago maybe 2.
There is no real way of telling what is true or not. I do know my friend is right because i did see his web site when it was first put up and there was no all ddr dogs.

Thanks, I was honestly asking - no agenda. I did find a page of his dogs - first date I can find is 1960? I had asked that on his forum and got no response. Maybe they thought I was asking with 'an attitude.' I'm not a pro or a competitor.
I do know he has the gold medal award from Schutzhund USA so don't doubt his handler ability. I have talked to him a few years ago when he was just starting his forum and he was very nice over the phone.
